Seen a few posts on Facebook with some optimism for the Arsenal game, not sure I agree

Ah yes, this is what we need, another negative thread

Correct, it will make the 3-0 away win sweeter

A shock win at Arsenal would certainly put to bed some of the demons I suspect may be troubling some of squad, and is traditionally exactly the kind of game Burnley have turned up for and won against ALL expectations.
I’ll be delighted but not entirely surprised with a positive result.

At least Arsenal play tonight while we have the week off. That’s the best I can offer

I'm going for 5 or more goals on my bet
2-3 will do

Optimism is always good. People who look forward to the game and have hopes of winning get the same result as people who don't look forward to it and expect to lose, but when we do lose, at least they have had a week of hope!

I’m not looking forward to the scoreline but am looking forward to the day out with my boys.
An error free, battling performance and hopefully a goal is all I can ask for. I can take a heavy beating just hope we make them work hard for their goals.

It’s the hope that kills you though

Let's hope Sevilla kick them off the pitch tonight!

Let's not kid ourselves.
We will probably lose by 5 or 6 goals.
If we do win, however, I will run naked round my garden (at night).

I’m optimistic we can come away with a 4-0 defeat and not a 9-0 defeat like some. Now that is pessimistic.

Optimism - we are playing Arsenal and not Crewe. It's not going well for us at the moment in terms of results but bigger picture as a club it really is going well for us. 19th best team in England

We can be thankful for small mercies!

That's me and probably explains why I'm not doing so well in this season's prediction league; I do manage a degree of realism though... I only had us down to draw against City

Without starting another thread , O'Shea and Cullen get called up for the Irish squad .
