Makes sense, would absolutely stink if Newcastle started loaning players from the Saudi clubs like which is being rumoured with Neves.

The absolute correct decision, will stop owners such as Newcastle buying players at other clubs without FFP rules then loaning/selling to their main clubs on the cheap.

Weren’t Watford into this in quite a big way?

Isn’t our intention of buying another club being done for that reason?

Banning loans and forcing this scenario still makes his 300k a week wage Newcastle's to account for with FFP.

However there are enough PL clubs doing the multiclub ownership model (and as alluded to we aspire to it) that this probably wouldn't pass anyway.

Ruben Neves receives a £46.8m loyalty bonus from Al-Hilal before transferring to Newcastle to play for free for the love of the game.

Although there are lots with the multi-club model I think in the vast majority the loans are going the other way which won't be impacted by this rule.

I think our intention is more around the youth element, we have been looking for clubs in Belgium so trying to find young players in that area and using a feeder club to send our young players to them on loan for experience.

I don't think our intention had any FFP connotations unless in a minor way with some young players getting off our wages for a season or two. Other clubs such as Newcastle could be using these feeder clubs to avoid millions and millions in FFP overspending.

Still are but nothing like as bad as when the Pozzo family first bought them but only because of a rule change that stopped them.

Multi club ownership should never have been allowed.

Adding to my earlier point as well, in future if we go move afield with our signings such as Asia, South America, North America etc due to the permit changes after Brexit it might be handy having a club in the EU where young players can play for a couple of years to get enough criteria passed for their work permits before moving to us.
