Any news on Brighton tickets?
Was supposed to be today but now delayed due to the ticketing site having a revamp.

I’ve heard they’re releasing a new module that allows touts to buy away tickets and sell them directly to home fans via the site.

It would be interesting to know if this happens with other away fans ... finding swathes of Home fans (and/or tourists) sitting amongst them

I doubt it, most clubs in Prem away tickets won't get anywhere near general sale.

The online ticketing is back up but it will no longer allow me to login - keeps telling me that my password is invalid.

So I requested a link to re-set the password, keyed in the one that suddenly wasn't working and it now works.

It does say you can use your old password as your new one

From the website for others who may have the same problem:
The system upgrade has now been completed and the ticketing platform is available again to purchase tickets. As part of the upgrade all fans will need to reset their password by following the steps below.
This also applies to all users of the website, app and Clarets+.
1. Go to Login
2. Input your email associated with your Clarets account and click Next.
3. Go to your emails and click on the reset password link.
4. Enter your new password, this can be the same as what you had previously.
5. Once complete you will be able to log in with your email and new password.
Should fans have any issues resetting their password they should email ticketoffice@burnleyfc.com
Ticket details for the Brighton & Hove Albion game on 9th December will be announced in due course.
Although those instructions totally miss that you need to click on
Forgot password on the login page. The fact that people aren't just being directed to reset their password as part of the natural process does make me wonder whether they've really tested it.

I'd not seen any of that, the ticketing site looked just the same so I just tried logging in which kept telling me I had an invalid password.
I reckon this will catch out a lot of people when there are tickets going on sale on a Monday morning.
Very strange.

I put this info on the BFC Password Reset thread.

I only happened across it when looking for info on Brighton tickets.
They should have:
a) Emailed everyone to tell them;
b) Set the website up so that the first time you try to login you get a message that the site has been updated and you need to reset your password.

I'd suggest renaming that thread to make it obvious that passwords need to be reset.
Something like "Everyone needs to reset their BFC password" as I imagine lots of people won't look at it otherwise.

Would have done but it's not possible to edit a post after about 10 seconds have elapsed since the initial posting.

Spot on. I received nothing and then kept getting invalid password when I knew it was correct. I only opted to do a password reset as a last resort.
