Two bad results for teams you would expect to win in Newcastle and Brighton we now need to win our next games.

6 defeats in a row aswell.
I think we are only a few games away from the serious question put to VK.

Not many businesses can afford their manager to completely run something into the ground without repercussions.

There should be pressure on VK to get results having spent so much money… if we were happy to come bottomWe could have saved 100 million in transfers

It has the feel of a very expensive jumbo jet filled with priceless works of art that is nose diving towards the runway but the captain says the plane is level and not under any imminent danger.

The idea being floated that relegation is fine and all part of a plan in which we acquire players like Trafford and Tresor £15m+ each is genuinely the biggest load of nonsense I've read on here.

That doesn’t really answer my question. Is it relegation that you feel is running the club in to the ground?Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 4:20 pmIt has the feel of a very expensive jumbo jet filled with priceless works of art that is nose diving towards the runway but the captain says the plane is level and not under any imminent danger.

I hope VK can change things around .:: and quickly … nobody is immune to being replaced … if we don’t
win before Xmas I’m convinced he will be replaced .. Pace has backed VK heavily ..he won’t want to come crashing out of the premier league and the fact we don’t look at all like not conceding must be a worry ..VK doesn’t want to change but he is gong to have to change something

Re: The only way is up
Tbf we just played Arsenal and did pretty well for most if it - we kept the same side and looked more solid. All that's happening now is tat those teams that didn't **** about with their sides too much are learning a grabbing points here and there.
The time for worrying about stubbornness and dropping was a few games against whe we were getting rinsed by Brentford - you can't expect the side to turn round against Arsenal away when we are missing our only proper Premier league finisher

Re: The only way is up
Vinny is a lot closer to the door than many on here realise.
Whilst many on here think it's a straightforward case of getting relegated, reset and them coming straight back I can assure you that the owners think very, very differently. Burnley Football Club is a business and never more so than now under the Pace regime, the current model isn't sustainable and can't go on for much longer.
If you remove emotion, Vinny will be lucky to still be here in December if we carry on losing, zero chance of being here at Christmas etc.

I think a good number of us aware that VK will be, at the very least, under a lot of scrutiny if we don't pick up points against West Ham and Sheffield United.getbennyon wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 4:56 pmVinny is a lot closer to the door than many on here realise.

A few sides have conceded on the stroke of halftime this weekend, not just us who couldn't see the half out.

Re: The only way is up
Utterly pointless getting rid of Kompany at this point, from a footballing and business pov. With this group of players he's assembled, he's both the most likely manager to keep us up, or bring us back up.
6 months ago he was the next big thing, sure to be a man city manager. Now he's out of hid depth. If Pace has any sense he won't have gotten too carried away with our success at a lower level. And he won't suddenly abandon a longer term project after 12 league games.

Pace must think he is jinxed, as soon as he hands a manager a longer term contract there is a massive downturn in performance.

Re: The only way is up
I think we've shown genuine signs of improvement over the last few games. In VK we have one of the most astute and special young managers in the game and I for one feel privileged that he's our's and long may it continue. The opposing manager who he embraced yesterday was under severe pressure little over 12 months ago and look how he's turned Arsenal around with his belief's. I think we're heading in the right direction and in all honesty aren't far short. No need for panic.

Far too much pant-wetting here of late.
Pace is a shrewd businessman. There's no way he would have renewed VK for another 5 years if he wasn't planning to keep him on in the event of relegation.

Up automatically next season hopefully. Already 2 wins from safety without being able to see where a win may remotely come from. We are going to be cut adrift in a few weeks I fear.

Re: The only way is up
The OP is incorrect - We could also go the other way --- DOWN
And with the ALK debt we have we could go down down, deeper and down
Let us hope we don't. Some good signs in the last game but multiple problems for VK to solve
