Same here. Trimmed my apple tree last week and finished up with a garden full of leaves, now they're in the field over the road!
I am however awaiting this years collection of the neighbourhoods trampolines to chuck on Ebay

I was in Blackpool for Remembrance weekend and got 'lashed' yesterday with the rain and wind. Managed to get away this morning before those ballon like sculptures on the Prom started knocking out pedestrians

It’s blown them from the paths and patio area but as it’s wet they aren’t budging from the grass. There’s so many now I can’t actually see any grass.

Lost a fence panel again, one goes every time there is one of these big storms, usually 2 or 3 are destroyed every year.

I have a bird feeder in the garden, it hangs on a wire from a high tree branch.
It has been swinging wildly in three to four foot arcs with blue tits hanging on for grim death just like the big one in Blackpool.

Due to severe weather between Leeds and Hellifield all lines are blocked.
How does it affect your service:
Train services running through these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 18:00 13/11.
Our advice to our customers:
Services between Leeds - Carlisle / Morecambe are currently being disrupted due to a severe weather blocking the railway.
Due to flooding services are unable to run between Hellifield and Kirkby Stephen.
Due to tree on the line services are unable to run between Hellifield and Giggleswick/Settle.
Network Rail engineers are on site working to remove the tree from the railway.

I suppose the advantage of naming the storms is that all the service providers that can't cope have a ready-made excuse. Instead of "we can't cope with normal winter weather", it's "Storm Debi has made provision of normal service impossible".
I was in Burnley Centre today, and there was no sign of people being blown over or roof tiles flying. It was just windy. Is Burnley an exception?

It's so windy here one of my garden chairs blew over. I'd go out and take a photo but it's probably too dangerous.
Take that dsr!

Before Brexit ?
It's just a mere breeze.
When I was a lad, storms blew house roofs clean off, coal pit was flooded every time and mature trees were clean uprooted. But the trains still ran on time and buses took every one to work ontime !

I think it’s grim life but in this weather most tits will be blue even the great and bearded ones
Coal tits will be extinct soon due to the clamp down on fossil
Fuels
And whilst not a tall story can it be long tailed

Quite bizarrely at about 3pm ,I was overlooking the garden noticed stuff blowing about ,and kept seeing pale coloured small “ wheel type “ disks crazily zig zagging about the garden . Closer inspection revealed to be Yorkshire puddings !
Grandson (6) playfully “ frisbeeses” them over 2 separate neighbours walls! 1, a crazy “ Vorderman-esque” divorcee ( who I feel is the most likely culprit ) and 2. A Chinese family who are likely innocent . Hopefully vengeance will be minimal .

Burnley definitely got hit today/this evening. All the fencing around the culvert was over, considering how long it's been going on that's the first time I've seen that.
On Ridge Avenue a tree has blown down, lucky nit on the road or where there are houses - gone towards Rowley not far from Brunshaw Road.

Must have been some wind to take your garden as well, at least saves you mowing it next year

I think they've certainly increased since people had the Covid Jab, one of my mates didn't have the Jab and they don't seem to effect him at all.

More like high wind and a bit of rain Debi than a proper storm, although I believe a pensioner's umbrella blew inside out in Great Harwood.

We quite often escape them but I walked into town yesterday and you could hardly see in front of you on Manchester Road for the flying leaves. Difficult walk back home too from the bus trying to keep moving in the direction I wanted to.
