Just switched on to see Roberts get the ball in space, feint to pass it forward down the line then turn and pass it backwards 15 yards.

Exactly the same for club and Country.

I'm not sure how you explain, how someone heads an own goal from that long throw.

Not correct - we utilised it under Dyche and have even done so a few times recently, under Kompany.

It’s up there with one of the most ineffective long throws that I’ve seen!

Have we ever scored from one? I may be mistaken but I don’t recall any

Too high and looping, I’d have loved being the centre half defending them…. Like heading practice

Surprisingly, Roberts hasn’t even got the shortest long throw in the team as Vitinho has kindly demonstrated when deputising for him.

Roberts' throw was pretty good in this instance.

I know it's not setting the bar very high, but it was better than the majority of our corners.

He has to run up the slope on the Longside, puts his angle off?
At Luton his were a lot flatter and bullet like.

I think you have a point.

Never seemed to bother Rory Delap though.

Not just up the bank though… it has mainly been the same from the Bob Lord side. I quite like Roberts but flat would be so much more dangerous from the throws.

Like I said, this was more that kind of throw.

Perhaps he just does what he's told.
