Looks like there’s a chance Bowen is fit tomorrow as well

I think we win if we go
Trafford
Roberts Beyer ekdal Taylor
Brownhill Berge
Benson JBG Koleosho
Amdouni
And play fast attacking football. As bad as we’ve been this season, we’ve never had so much attacking talent.

The phrasing Kompany used in yesterday's press conference was very strange - Cork is out "due to something that happened in training" a few weeks ago - the word injury was never usedTheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2023 5:51 pmI'm pretty sure it was said around the Arsenal game that Cork was injured.
I say "injured", the truth is that his dad has got The Crazy Gang back together to take VK out.

Something like "Showed leadership and resonsibility, got in the right positions, organised those around him and played well" ...scandalous, shouldn't be anywhere near the first team squadChester Perry wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 5:51 pmThe phrasing Kompany used in yesterday's press conference was very strange - Cork is out "due to something that happened in training" a few weeks ago - the word injury was never used

Re: Burnley vs West Ham - Starting XI
Jack seems to speak his mind and isn’t afraid to let the manager know when things are going wrong. Looks like exactly the same thing got him banished from Dyche’s team who went down. Good captaincy I would have thought. No point being a lemming and following the rest over the cliff to satisfy the manager’s ego.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 5:51 pmThe phrasing Kompany used in yesterday's press conference was very strange - Cork is out "due to something that happened in training" a few weeks ago - the word injury was never used

I have wondered how VK deals with some of the mavericks of the squad.
Clearly fell out with Muric after he went on a bender... hmmmm

Also who could blame him, apart from Berge no one in midfield is pulling up any trees. I think I would be furious I wasn’t playing if I was him.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 6:19 pmThis is interesting...

Give the guy a game along with Muric once he’s well, what’s the worst that could happen, we actually win a game?!

I see we're now at the "making up Jack Cork taking a heroic stand against the manager's mistakes" stage of the international break.

We are very close to saying "somebody has to" how much worse can things get? Burnley do not have the worst squad of players in the bottom 4 why are they bottom of the league?daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 6:51 pmI see we're now at the "making up Jack Cork taking a heroic stand against the manager's mistakes" stage of the international break.

Re: Burnley vs West Ham - Starting XI
If just 2 from Ekdal /Roberts/Muric/Benson to start would be a nod in the right direction .
Re: Burnley vs West Ham - Starting XI
I am just hoping he gives Trafford a rest. We cannot afford to throw any more points away from basic errors.

Re: Burnley vs West Ham - Starting XI
Might as well give him a try someone thought he was good when he was bought, give him a go might be another Nick Pope.
Then again he might have already committed to giving his neighbour a lift to skipton so is unavailable .

You obviously missed the news when we signed Vigouroux then?CoolClaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 8:50 pmI know we’re desperate but Peter Wells has been retired for quite a while…

Re: Burnley vs West Ham - Starting XI
What’s so funny to warrant a LOL? Why did Vincent sign him then? If you remember, Dyche signed Pope from Charlton and when the call came he answered it.
This is a pointless discussion anyway because Vincent will start Trafford tomorrow and more than likely he will fail to deal with routine stuff and we will throw another three points away and we will be one step closer to relegation. Not a problem for me though, I love the Championship. Best division in English football.

The highest level he has ever played is league 2.Jamesy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 9:18 pmWhat’s so funny to warrant a LOL? Why did Vincent sign him then? If you remember, Dyche signed Pope from Charlton and when the call came he answered it.

He’s been brought in purely as a reserve keeper to help bring the u23s through. Don’t be surprised if he never ever gets a minute of game time.
Re: Burnley vs West Ham - Starting XI
I know he would. Was it 18 million for a lad who through no fault of his own is clearly not ready. I’m not a massive Muric fan either but from a Man City point of view these two at circa 25 million have contributed to them staying within FFP rules.Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 8:52 pmVK would rather commit hari kari than drop his golden boy. Re: Burnley vs West Ham - Starting XI
I won’t be surprised. Not at all. Vincent isn’t going to drop Trafford so this discussion is immaterial.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 9:26 pmThe highest level he has ever played is league 2.

I don't think he has much to do with the now defunct U23s, or the present U21s.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 9:26 pmThe highest level he has ever played is league 2.

He's 3rd choice and would most likely be on the bench if Trafford or Muric were out.

I’m quite relaxed pal. Been out after work drinking a few pints of superb craft beers from Glasshouse, Verdant and Cloudwater. Bit of a faff getting up to Burnley tomorrow as rail replacement is rearing its ugly head yet again. Long day awaits. Let’s just hope we put on a good display and don’t gift any cheap goals to the happy hammers.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 9:42 pmOf course. It was just a **** attempt at a daft joke

We need a focal point to our attack, which Jay did fine against Palace, and we need his presence defending set plays. Redmond plays as the second striker because frankly Amdouni hasn't shown enough starting games recently. He's still got loads to do to adapt to English Premier League football and he can do that from the bench. Great impact option

That's decent, though I'd have Vitinho for Roberts.
