3 awful decisions yesterday. All reviewed, none given. As said on comms, “anywhere else on the field they would be fouls”. What a nonsense.

I can't stand the shirt pulling, it's getting ridiculous.

Easy fixed,just wear skin tight shirts that are almost impossible to pull.

I couldn't believe that one on Amdouni wasn't given having seen the replay seconds later.

The foul on Amdouni couldn't be overturned by VAR as it was neither a red card or a penalty.

It was simply an awful, awful decision. Suspicion is that it was a sympathy decision giving that we were thrashing them.

One from recent memory was 4 April 2021 when Bednarek almost removed Chris Woods's shirt in our defeat at Southampton but we didn't get a pen which could have brought us level after surrendering a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2.

Based on what I've seen it's been legal for a while. So has grappling at corners (ask Foster after the Forest game), and pushes in the back, particularly if someone has a free header or shot on goal.

You occasionally hear the pundits and commentators saying something along the lines: 'If the refs took action for shirt pulling then that would mean just about everyone would get booked at some point."
So that is where it has become legal, viz lack of enforcement.
This could be remedied in quick time if the refs took action on a particular Saturday by giving penalties every time it occurred in the box .

It is strange that shirt pulling only seems to happen in the penalty box, why is that?

I saw a spoof on German tv where every seam was velcro. Soon as it was tugged the shirt fell to pieces.

The incident was on the edge of the six yard box. VAR checked it but some how deemed it not obvious.

Why couldn't it? Looks a clear penalty to me, trying to get in a shot just outside the six yard box.

Corners. Indeed. Oddly enough, referees seem more inclined to blow for a foul when a forward is deemed guilty but it's very rare to see a penalty given. It's a nightmare for referees.

If referees starting picking up on shirt pulling and awarding penalties, whilst it wouldn’t stop it happening altogether it may cut a lot of it out.

Not obviously an error by the ref. It was a very obvious error but we know we don’t get them. Thankfully didn’t cost us this week like it did last week.

More proof of how badly VAR is used. Sometimes it over analyses everything, sometimes it doesn't. It's made the game even more inconsistent

Velcro could be very handy!

VAR doesn’t look at incidents it looks at the Club badge . Hence we get nothing

It looked like Kompany instructed JBL to tuck his shirt in, during the first half, presumably to make it more obvious when his shirt was being pulled, which it was on a number of occasions.

Either that or VK is a stickler for having a well presented team.

Bang on!

Stopping a corner being taken to have a word with players that are fouling is mad. Let them kick the corner and award the foul/penalty.

Also re diving. Book them for doing it and start giving penalties when there's obviously contact to warrant a foul but a player stays on their feet.

Lack of proactive actions from the refs has created these problems.

just think if the game hinged on that decision and do you think Vincent would keep quiet , i very much doubt it ..

If that wasn’t given before VAR I would be a bit annoyed when seeing the reply, but understand the ref can’t see everything and you win some you lose some.

But with VAR it’s bloody ridiculous that it isn’t given
