I'll be interested to see how those who went rated him. Unable to go tonight unfortunately so can't mark.

Solid display, controlled the game without being overly swayed by histrionics or player's opinions.

I wasn't there, but one thing from my view was that he was a proper homer.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a team win as many free kicks for their players falling over. Thought he was dreadful, inconsistent and more dreadful.

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
Not dreadful but consistently below average.
Thought he demonstrated a small but statistically significant bias towards the home team in terms of decision, the effect of which was heightened in the booking figures.
A. 14
B. 9
C. 20
D. 15

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
Gives too many free kicks, gives too many soft free kicks and doesn't allow the game to flow at all.

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
Not that is made much difference but he let them block a free kick from around 3 yards away when Brownhill tried to make a quick pass and let the game carry on. He’s yet another poor ref.

Oh yes, that wasn't just bad - that was appalling.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 10:25 pmNot that is made much difference but he let them block a free kick from around 3 yards away when Brownhill tried to make a quick pass and let the game carry on. He’s yet another poor ref.
It isn't the case that if you try and take a quick free kick that the 10 yard rule disappears. He was simply making up the rules there.
On here, we're all biased and can only try to mark objectively however he should be marked down by the PGMOL for this clear breach of the rules.

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
He did reasonably well overall, but after Brownhill gets the early yellow he HAS to be consistent and Wolves got away with two or three similar ones and that's wrong. He also deteriorated in the final 20 minutes when he fell numerous times for diving and petty time wasting. And 3!!! minutes (initially) added time. Crikey the guy's on drugs!!

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
This was one of quite a few really simple but poor decisions. The lack of booking and freekick for the drag back on Bruun Larson which then led to the ridiculous booking on Berge straight after was another couple. I thought he was just frustratingly poor.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 10:25 pmNot that is made much difference but he let them block a free kick from around 3 yards away when Brownhill tried to make a quick pass and let the game carry on. I’m not sure how anybody could have thought he was decent. He was absolutely appalling. Almost like he was refereeing a different sport. How this bloke is refereeing at the top level of the game is beyond me.

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
One of my favourites was the perfectly clean tackle that Berge (on a booking) made on the edge of our box which resulted in a free kick that needed to be tipped over the bar resulting in another Wolves chance for a corner.

Set the tone in the 1st 5 minutes when booking Brownhill and not Lamina for what were essentially to attack stopping fouls

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
two pullbacks by Kilman and nothing, the 3 man blocking the free kick, identical incidents resulting in different outcomes because of the colour of shirt. Appalling stuff.

If ever there was a masterclass of a homer, this was it. The inconsistency he applied all game to decision making was staggering. A shocker

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
Not a problem with his decision making but he could have booked Kilman twice before he finally did.
The fk mentioned above against Berge was correct. He’d made contact with the leg before he back heeled the ball.

Re: RATE THE REF - Jarred Gillett v Wolves
Very poor referee, not popular in the away end last night. I also want to know where on earth they got just 3 minutes of added time from.
