If I won that I might be tempted to have my heating on all day this winter.

At least one more who would sit on the bench and still not get on before JBG.

Was golfing at Conway a few weeks back and as we walked to the tee we noticed a table with a couple of bottles of champagne in an ice bucket. A few moments later a family came out all dolled up, plus photographer and a lady with a large, golden envelope. We hung around to watch and it turned out to be a photo shoot for someone who had won a million on Euromillions. Very nice indeed.

Wake me up when it's £250m, and I'll have a go.

Keep 1m to see you through the 1st year, then 200m invested @10% return, a nice 20m/year. Spend the rest of your life paranoid.

If I won that sort of money I would buy Accy Stanley with the first 6 months interest on the money.

I think I would rather keep the £200m in the building society as basic rate. No need to pursue high risk investment.

I’ll adopt the same tactic as I ask my team to adopt…. Win it first and then decide how to improve everything else.

200 millionaires would surely be better than one person winning such a huge amount.

I can honestly say that if I won such an amount of money that I would give each of my close family and friends (and ourselves) £5m each and then give the rest to Cancer Research UK. What a preposterous sum of money.

Last night 88 people were 1 number away from winning £187m and instead each won £667!! How sickening would that be.

Always thought that would be much better! Honestly don't know what I'd do with that much, probably give most of it away.

That sort of money can make your family wealthy for several generations if invested correctly
Create trust funds for the kids/grandkids and buy houses for your close friends
The invest the rest so it pays out every so often and that’s it, you’re laughing
I’d retire on Saturday at 43 if I won on Friday

That prize is for those who only picked 4 of the 5 main numbers. If you selected 5 main numbers but no lucky star number entrants received over £11k, and for 5 main numbers plus 1 of the lucky star numbers lucky entrants received £100k+

Absolutely no way that wouldn’t improve anyone’s life.
I’d try to live similarly to how I do, but I’d be free to pursue whatever I wanted. Also I don’t think I’d work a normal job. Maybe manage some of my own properties as a passive income. If you owned maybe 20 millions worth of houses, your income every year would be easily enough to live a great life. Then the rest can be drop fed into historically medium risk ~7% per year and it can stay there pretty much forever. You’d make money over inflation on average and if your kids were brought up right your family would be more than comfortable forever.

I know this probably sounds really awful but I think I would really struggle to give any life changing money away to friends or family in that way as it would worry me how it would affect them and the relationship I had with them.

Imagine the disappointment of those lottery winners who had their millions on deposit with Northern Rock, only receiving the maximum FSCS compensation of £85k when it went t1ts up!

I never understand it when people say they don’t want to win that much money. You can do so much good with it. Keep enough to see you comfortably through life, help those close to you, and give the rest causes/people who really need it eg foodbanks

The bigger jackpot winners are advised to use a bank like Coutts, I recall reading about
They’re more set up to deal with very wealthy people
