Selfishly it's great that it's on TV, but absolutely rubbish for the travelling fans

Might be best for us to demand full price tickets now we will only take a small following?

Get some money in the coffers.

Or use the T.V money to put free coaches on for away fans and take an army down there?

Just seen the list of six games live for the FA Cup. Wow.. how imaginative.

Palace v Everton
Spurs v Burnley
Sunderland v Newcastle
Middlesbro v Villa
Arsenal v Liverpool
Wigan v Man U.

That's the magic of the FA Cup third round - being able to watch Premier League teams play each other......

I heard Jeff Stelling saying recently that PL clubs should be seeded in the 3rd round to give the lower league clubs more chance of a big pay day.

A good idea in theory, but it would make it harder for the smaller clubs to go deep into the competition.

Nine Premier League clubs of the twelve who are playing - each club on TV gets £85,000 which is peanuts to those in the PL. That money would be heaven sent for some of the clubs still in the competition.

Yes, maccclaret, the magic of the FA Cup. :D :D :D

ITV aren't daft. They know they're guaranteed goals in our games.

The season that keeps on taking....

Now we start 2024 with a national primetime mauling on ITV on a Friday night!

And what terrible fixture selections generally as others have said...

But televising those big clubs will garner more viewers for ITV, thereby generating larger advertising revenues and making it profitable for their own shareholders; can't blame them for that... that's business.
