Re: Does Pace regret ?
I rather watch the VK team play than the Dyche team
Re: Does Pace regret ?
Good to see after the usual petty bitchiness that intelligent comments have been posted for either side of the argument and next weekends result will no doubt cause more debate , however none of us can know who would have spent the money most wisely, let’s hope VK wins the day SD gets a standing ovation and we beat the dreaded drop.

But what difference does that make to the clubs balance sheet? Your conspiracy theories and non stop negative waffle doesn’t override facts unfortunately.

Re: Does Pace regret ?
Your implying that VK sold players and that affected the balance sheet ,McNeil and the rest had already packed their backs ,all the monies since VK arrived and been in control of have been outgoings.

Re: Does Pace regret ?
Dyche was magnificent for us in terms of out and out success, unequaled in my lifetime. Him and his team gave us some truly incredible moments, winning at Old Trafford and Anfield etc were quite exceptional, I genuinely stood in my front room and applauded when we stopped Liverpool's unbeaten record. I can't lie though, the last few years the football was horrific. It was time for a change and I'm glad it happened. I hope he gets a standing ovation as he comes out at the weekend and I hope Tarks and McNeil get a good hand too, but when the whistle blows I hope we beat them all.
I doubt Pace has a single regret about potting him

This entire topic is fantasy land rubbish, there wasn’t £100m there for Dyche to spend, there wasn’t a choice for Pace to make so what is there to regret?
You’re talking about Dyche spending £100m on a team (that costs £130m+ with a £95m wage bill) that’s settled and been in the PL for 6 consecutive years and comparing it to a newly promoted side with a wage bill 1/3rd of that and huge holes to fill.
Re: Does Pace regret ?
I’m not implying anything it’s cold hard facts, VK walked through the door and out went 4 players and in came £65m-75m.
Re: Does Pace regret ?
That’s rubbish and you know it,VK had nothing to do with those players leaving ,your implying he did a bit of wheeler dealing to bring in £ 70+ mill.

spending a shed full of money guarantees nothing it's how to team gel together on and off the field.

Re: Does Pace regret ?
I’m not implying anything, I’m giving you facts.
Why would the outgoings of Cornet, Collins, Pope and McNeil not be totalled up and considered when talking about VKs net spend last season?
Those out goings are the reason he had anything to spend at all. He probably wouldn’t have took the job if he wasn’t given some kind of guarantee that player sales would generate him some kind of kitty to replace the 15+ outgoings.

If you like watching us lose then fair play.California Colner wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 10:58 pmI rather watch the VK team play than the Dyche team
Re: Does Pace regret ?
Those players would have been sold regardless of manager, do you think they'd all have been sold if we had survived?
Exactly the same thing will happen next summer
Re: Does Pace regret ?
Gray as well. Big money spent for us, young, did a job for us and helping us achieve what we wanted then sold for an even bigger fee. The exact blueprint of what were trying to do now.spt_claret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 5:44 pmOn that I'd agree except I do think Hendrick always deserved a lot more credit

I'd love a bit of a Dyche/Kompany hybrid.

Re: Does Pace regret ?
But what relevance does that have to what I said?
Everyone knows they were sold because we were relegated to pay debts and rebuild a squad.
Re: Does Pace regret ?
Because your saying Dyche could have sold all them and spent £100 million which isn't the case. No manager would have sold all them if we survived.
Re: Does Pace regret ?
Just highlighting how different the situations were and explaining how £100m wasn’t available for Dyche to spend, so nothing for Pace to regret which makes this whole topic fantasy.

Re: Does Pace regret ?
I don’t like to see us lose!!!
I do like the football we are trying to play and in time we will come good
At the moment we are just not quite there yet to be successful in the premier league
But I believe we will be at some point.
