We don't get to find out about injuries anymore until the club decides it's convenient to do so.

Patient confidentiality.

I understand the need for confidentiality, yet the person who probably needs it the most doesn’t get it .

Lyle spoke out himself about it and I’m pretty sure he would’ve given the club permission to announce the issues he was having. I thank him for allowing it as many suffer in silence often with an awful outcome.

He’d been featuring for the u21s until recently, not sure if he’s injured again or something. I think he’ll head out on loan early in Jan, hopefully get a decent move. Hibs fans rated him highly up there and were surprised he wasn’t in our first team.

Was he meant to go out on loan in summer but the club messed up his paperwork and missed the deadline or something?

I'm pretty sure this is what happened and it was us who messed up the paperwork at the very last minute scuppering the move. The player and his agent were extremely cross from what I read, but I guess we're not privy to all the facts.

Are we knackering his career?
Can't believe that.

Matt Williams spoke about it in his interview. His side of the story was:

- BFC were delayed in completing paperwork, reviewing the contracts to ensure the i’s were dotted and t’s were crossed.

- contracts were sent to CJER for electronic signature but he was delayed signing as it hit his junk mail.

- BFC got it to PSV (?) with 5 minutes to go but they wouldn’t push it through due to lateness. He said he’d have got it done if it was a player we badly wanted.

Sounds like mainly our fault but maybe not entirely.
