Urban Legends

That story about the guy who went around an Ikea with tape and made the arrows lead people round and round in a circle.
It's funny enough that it doesn't warrant looking into if it's true or not. There are now plenty of articles de-bunking the story but the idea is still there.
Post the urban myths of lore here folks.

Where I grew up there was a legendary adolescent named Sandy Bibb.
Everybody in the village still knows the name of Sandy Bibb.
Depending on who you asked, Sandy was a gypsy boy who was so tough he was last seen beating up a cohort of adults even though he was only 12 years old.
Alternatively, Sandy was a gypsy girl so attractive and promiscuous you only had to lay eyes on her for her to win your heart and you hers (for a few minutes, at least).

Trebor mints are so called after Robert backwards - in honour of one of the company founders Robert Robertson.
They aren't - they are so called because the company moved into premises on Trebor Terrace.

Carmina Burana is the theme to the Omen...
it's not and I recall reading the fact on this forum a while back - apparently people think it is because of Only Fools and Horses when Damien was born and the link to it was made

Unfortunately more research needs to be done because this does not answer the question.

Not an urban legend, the reference to XTC reminded me that I found Andy Partidge’s maths exercise book when sorting through my late father’s belongings a couple of years ago. My dad taught him at school, along with Paul Rideout (not the same year I don’t think) which is a link to Everton who we play tomorrow.

Marc Almond, was rushed to A@E and had 2 pints of sp@nk pumped from his stomach .
Sort of true . The camp Soft Cell troubadour was a legendary caner of booze , sex and “ anything he could get his hands on” After a particularly wild party where Almond was “very much enjoying himself “ he ended up passing out and was taken to A and E. Alas , though he’d “ swallowed his share “ that night there was neither stomach pump nor flaggon of jizz.
