Reception for Dyche etc tomorrow

For me it will be a cheer for Dyche when he comes out and one for Tarks and Dwight when their names are read out then that’s it, treat them as any other manager/player.
Anyone think differently?

I’ll be clapping him as well. I do wonder sometimes if people forget exactly what he did for our club in his time with us.

Not sure opposition players have their name read out anymore.
But I will give them a good reception, they all deserve it.

Same question. The booing for McNeil from some of our number at Goodison was baffling. Any contempt (genuine or 'banter') aimed at Dyche tomorrow is ridiculous.

No point booing at all, makes us look ridiculous and it will galvanise them.
None of them left under a cloud or without putting the effort in, they deserve respect for what they did for our club. Especially Dyche.

Wouldn’t boo but Dwight definitely left without putting the effort in.

I thought the idea was to make Turf Moor as hostile a place to visit as possible.
I have never clapped an opposition player (or manager) and never would. I wouldn't boo them either.
Just cheer our own players and let them know you support them 100%

Before the match, to show appreciation for what they did for the club, dyche especially.

Best manager we’ve had in my lifetime. Takes a lot of stick from the youngest members of our fanbase who don’t know how lucky they were to have him.
He will get the reception he deserves from me.

We wouldn't be where we are but for Dyche, in fact I dread to think where we would be. Tarks and McNeil will get a pre and post match warm welcome, during play they see the enemy.

I believe that giving Dyche and co a great reception (fully deserved) is in no way mutually exclusive to giving Everton a really hard time from the terraces from then onwards.

He’ll rightfully get a generous round of applause before the game from 99% of the clarets fans.
It will just be the usual morons who boo him.
After that, “here’s to you Vincent Kompany..”

Will be an interesting atmosphere tomorrow.
A warm reception for our ex manager and players and I imagine plenty of accusations of cheating and grassing flying back and forth.

Yeah, won't be able to tell if he is giving grief to Dyche or Vinny. Doesn't like managers at Burnley.

I will clap all 3, however, I am more than happy to join in with
Sean Dyche. There's only One Sean Dyche

So we are in a relegation battle and our opposition are currently in the same battle (admittedly through off the field activities) and at a time when we really need a win you want to sing songs celebrating the opposition manager???
I love what Dyche did and I was devastated when he left but there is no way he gets anything more than a respectful clap on entering the arena.

My memories of Dwight McNeil are he was brilliant for us scoring some sensational goals /. If he was so poor as some posters say .. how come we got 20 million for him and remember it wasn’t Dyche whm signed him

Dwight let us down with a string of cba performances. Sean was shafted by Garlck re funds but was our best manager since Harry Potts and deserves praise.Tarks is the best cb in the league by some distance and great for us.
We won't be on due to illness but would clap two

What’s wrong with a polite respectful round
Of applause for Dyche as he walks out, Tarks as he appears, Dwight maybe Keane as he warms up. Then that’s it we get in to them.

If I could be there, I would be on my feet applauding SD for all he did for this club. As soon as the whistle blows - it's game on.
We get so hung up on "well, he's not one of us now, so we have to hate him." It was not his choice, and ultimately, anyone who cannot respect what that man did for this town and this team needs to give their head a wobble.
And yes, before anyone asks, I seriously hope we kick their ass tomorrow, Sean Dyche in charge an' all.

The infrastructure the club now has is largely down to how Dyche kept us in the Prem, against all ods, for so damned long and getting us back tehre twice. He gets my full appreciation, as do both Tarks and McNeil. Personally always believed in Mcneil and delighted to now see him turning into the player he could be.
Once the whistle blows... back to normal

I think we should take a leaf out of Man City’s book from when we played them at Ethiad in the cup last season. Before the game the announcer reeled off what Kompany had achieved at City and asked for a round of applause for him which the whole stadium joined in with. SD deserves no less.

23, 23 undefeated. Think CT summed it up in his preview. Although things went a bit sour towards the end, SD is a legend and without his stewardship over the best part of 10 years, not to mention changing the infrastructure, there's no way we'd be playing the likes of Everton this evening.

McNeil rescued us one season and pressure was piled in him to be pretty much our only creative hope. This remained the case in the relegation season with Cornet being injury prone. His confidence was shot in the relegation season. There was no lack of effort. We've had some real **** ***** ie Weghorst who deserve a bit of treatment. I won't be booing any of them before the game. They are all Clarets. Dyche deserves something proper though.

A couple of minutes before kick off when Dyche will come out of the tunnel he will get a clap from me and from then on it is cheering for Burnley and our players, there'll be no booing from me either whenever Tarks and McNeil have the ball.

Standing ovation as he walks across the pitch before the game - as I said in my preview, our chance to thank him for all he gave us.
Then I want to give him a miserable afternoon.
