He was on the Turf for the Everton game - I'm told he was far from impressed with our performance

I miss those long legs and absolute commitment to the cause.
Good luck George.

I was a big fan of George Boyd. Never forget his winner v Man City. Of course he was pilloried by many for carrying out Dyche’s instructions to the letter.
The ‘Running Man’ with highest ‘match day distance covered figures’ in European football.

If he'd have had pace he'd have been a superstar.
A lot more skilfull than given credit for, and an absolute workhorse.
I'd have Boyd over most of the shite we've brought in - that's for sure.

When a "The Squad are at Chester Races" thread was started following promotion somebody posted that George Boyd had just won 3:10 steeplechase or words to that effect. Proper corker.

Makes sense I was working in Hale last spring and saw him on the school run, I resisted singing him his song, but did give him a nod.
So probably convenient, as Wythenshawes ground and training ground is literally a couple of miles around the corner

George had probably left the BMW 4 x 4 at home and sprinted that distance then?

. His kids probably the same.

100 percenter was George, not surprised he wasn't impressed against Everton.

Scored the opener on his debut in the 55th minute v Cheadle today in Wythenshawe Towns 4 nil win. Big derby away at Wythenshawe boxing day.

It wasn't his debut today, he played against Burscough on Tuesday.

Boyd-inho, as he was known is still a Fantasy Football legend. Here's why;
Starting the 2014 season in the Hull team it became clear in the first couple of weeks he was out of favour, so the few who owned him sold, dropping his price below the already lowest possible midfielder price of 4.5m to 4.4m
Signing for Burnley before the window closed be instantly became the cheapest starting midfield in the game, perfect bench fodder. But his legend status came from the uncanny timing of his modest number of goals & assists coinciding with benchings or surprise absences of star players, namely Eden Hazard, the hot player that season. Turning despair to joy for many owners as they saw the 0s of Hazard replaced with points from Boyd the budget Burnley bench filler.
