Been going a few days now, no major upsets yet, maybe apart from James Wade going out, just seen 16 year old Luke Littler beat Cristian Kist 3-0 on his World Championship debut and averaged 106.12, a definite rising star.

I’m still not having he’s only 16. Looks about 35.

Asked my Mrs to guess his age, she said 28, definitely does not look 16.

I hope Wright gets put out here for the disrespectful interview before the game.

Loving every minute of it.
Great entertainment, and even the lower ranked players are doing well so far.
Shame about Mike "The Real Deal" though, but still more to come from him.
Finally a tussle between MVG, Humphries, Wright and Price though. They still appear to be on a different level to most.

Wright was on my level when he got dumped out first round.
Thought the game earlier on today between Dolan and Mansell was the best of the tournament so far. Very evenly contested game and very good standard throughout.
Hoping that there’s a shock in the tie between Dimitri Van den Bergh and Florian Hempel. I can’t stand VdB these days.
Wouldn’t be overly surprised either if O’Connor ran Dobey close later on.

Smith v Dobey currently involved in a great match.
2-2 after Dobey missed darts to make it 3-0. Both players averaging 107.

Looked like it would go the distance but Dobey wrapped it up pretty quickly after that break.

Looks like you got your wish with Dimi. But you're right, he's rubbish these days. Needs to stop all those childish antics and concentrate on his darts.
Seen some great games though. Still think Price-MVG are top favourites, but would love Rapid Ricky to progress one more round

A superb player, he was born 3 weeks after Barney beat Taylor in the 2007 World Final and his hero growing up was Barney.
As Gary Anderson said, let's hope the media don't put so much pressure on him and just let him play darts. I still don't believe he is 16 though

Littler will at least move into the World top 70 by qualifying for the Quarter Finals, up from 164.
He could go even higher with the semi finals or final.

Smashing him to bits. I thought Cross would win this one by a couple of sets!

Dobey I think has had the highest average in two of the rounds so far, so has been playing really well. Thought Cross would do better though.

4-0 Littler ... could this be a whitewash over Dolan ...
He is showing a lot of arrogance and playing to the crowd but ... thats no different to the likes of Bristow, Wilson, Taylor etc etc ... this kid could rule darts for the next 20-30 yrs

He’s going to be very good, no doubt about it.
Not to take anything away from him but he’s had about as easy a run as you could hope to have to get to this stage.
