Team for Fulham?
How I think we’ll lineup:
———————Traff
Vitinho-O’Shea-Beyer-Chaz
————-Berge-Brownhill
—JBG—————————Odobert
————Amdouni—-Jay
How I’d lineup:
———-Kosovan Mad Man
Beyer-O’Shea-Ekdal-Chaz
——-———Masseng.o.a.t
———-Berge-Brownhill
—JBL—————————Odobert
——————Foster
Reasoning - Massengo looks a good ‘en, looked a cut above for the U21s and he seems like a top kid.
Would like to see Berge probing forward more with the ball and Brownhill has the legs to get about the park.
Muric because he can obviously launch the ball the length of the field with his wrong foot and land the ball on a dime with his eyes closed - duh.
Beyer and Chaz at fullback for reasons illuminated in some of the other threads on the board - bit of extra defensive solidarity/physicality and a bit less defensive responsibility for our front three.
Hoping Foster Is fit enough to lead the line for 60 minutes or so.
UTC - my god how good would an away win feel?

Trafford
Roberts Ekdal Beyer Taylor
Cullen Brownhill Berge
Redmond Foster Tresor
Flat back 4, 3 energetic midfielders to bolster that part of the pitch and pace up front to hurt the opposition and help us break quickly.
(This is the team I would pick - not the team I think will be picked)

If we’re starting with Tresor I reckon we’ve hit the desperation stakes there’s more life in a tramps vest .Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2023 8:33 pmTrafford

If I’m honest I think we will get spanked but I would I just like to actually enjoy a game and see some attacking football. I just can’t watch one more game of ******* about at the back so based on that I’m going for an all out attack line up:
Trafford
Roberts, Ekdal, Beyer, Vitinho
Berge, Cullen
JBG, Zaroury, Odobert
Foster
Trafford
Roberts, Ekdal, Beyer, Vitinho
Berge, Cullen
JBG, Zaroury, Odobert
Foster

Re: Team for Fulham?
There might be a few changes to the team that played last week and one could be the gk..
Re: Team for Fulham?
This is what I think VK will go with
Trafford
Vitinho. O’Shea. Beyer. Taylor
JBG. Brownhill. Berge. Odobert
Amdouni Jay
Whoever starts, it’s the same old problems that need sorting, especially in both penalty areas if we are to get anything out of today’s game.

Re: Team for Fulham?
I’d go:
Muric
Roberts
Taylor
Ekdal
Beyer
Cullen
Brownhill
Berge
Redmomd
Zaroury
Foster
After 13 defeats and conceding on average 2 a game and not scoring many you’d think it might be time for a few changes however I suspect we’ll go with the same as last week and see which lucky dip winners make the bench.

What makes you think the keeper is going to be changed? Surely no way trafford doesn’t play unless injuredClive 1960 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 6:56 amThere might be a few changes to the team that played last week and one could be the gk..

Re: Team for Fulham?
-----------Trafford
Beyer OShea Ekdal Taylor
JBG Brownhill Berge Redmond
--------------Odobert
‐------------Rodriguez
Vitinho has done little wrong but this gives is extra height and physicality at the back and I'd bring him on the right wing against Liverpool so it's a but of rotation.
Odobert can do a similar job to the one we saw at the start of last season when one of the two forwards pulled high and wide with freedom, whilst Redmond gives us a solid presence on the left flank. In this system Taylor has a bit more freedom to get forwards which gives us a crossing option on the outside down the left whilst Beyer tucks in.
I don't think Foster will be considered for a start yet - I imagine we'll be really careful in building him back up again. So it has to be Jay - unless Obafemi is preferred- which is an option given that back four.

Re: Team for Fulham?
Doesn’t really matter if the instructions are to f**t about at the back and give the opposition at least a couple of free goals. Looking forward to the day but not the game!

Re: Team for Fulham?
They have an experienced and good midfield with Wilian back and Iwobi, Pereira and Wilson
I want to see VK pick a sensible team and then manage the game properly with sensible substitutions and adaptive tactics. I want see him match Silva's 4-2-3 with an experienced team that can sit in and defend but has some pace and guile up front.
I want to see some height at the back and a Berge - Cullen double pivot with Cullen picking up Perreira.
I don't want another sh*t show with Amdouni and 12 year old wingers with no end product running around like headless chickens. And just me saying that will likely mean that Amdouni and Odobert will score a brace each.
Not sure of the injury situation so.... I'll go with.
-----------Trafford-------------
Beyer, Ekdal, O' Shea, Taylor
--------Berge, Cullen----------
---JBG, Brownhill, Redmond--
-----------Foster---------------

Re: Team for Fulham?
Sorry to do a Rip Van Winkle but I presume Jack is injured.
Re: Team for Fulham?
I think he'll start last weeks team with just Taylor back in. Same old tippy tappy pathetic defending, same old sideways and backwards passing, same pathetic corners, same uninspiring set pieces, same old abysmal throw-ins,same lame misjudged substitutions, same excuses post match.
Might be wrong though .

Hopefully vk will give him a last hurrah before he's move, and then realise he's made a huge mistake and decide he can't let him go after a 1-4 scoreline.Clive 1960 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 6:56 amThere might be a few changes to the team that played last week and one could be the gk..

Re: Team for Fulham?
Not sure about moving Beyer out of CB with the speed of Fulham's counter.
I'd try:
-----------Muric-------------
Vitty, Ekdal,Beyer , Taylor
--------Brownhill, Cullen----------
---JBL, Berge, Tresor----
-----------Foster--------------
Think Tresor will come good and having taylor behind him to cover would help him push up, meanwhile JBL does come back and help, which would support Vitty. Browny and Cullen tidying up with the aim of getting Berge on the ball and trying to drive us forward, but also to be in the box as soon as the wingers pick up the ball.

Re: Team for Fulham?
I agree Tresor will come good. I think he's got excellent feet, and a real eye to find a man to progress the play. He's not lightning fast, but fast enough. Eventually I see him as a starter, without doubt
