Padiham FC advice

Post by NL Claret » Mon Dec 25, 2023 6:47 pm

Going watching the Rams at Padiham tomorrow, weather permitting.

Where’s the best place for a beer pre match? Straight into the clubhouse or a beer in Padiham. It’s been years since I’ve been on at Padiham, would have been there early in the past so parking wasn’t an issue, is it easy to park at the ground?

Recommend Padiham Taphouse, Free Gardeners Arms and Molly Rigsbys for real ale as well as the Hare and Hounds.

All serve decent pints of real ale.

Hare n Hounds is 50 yards away for a pint.

If early enough the club car park. There's little street parking around the ground.
There's a church car park just off the by pass up from St Leonards school they use for football overspill.
5-10 minute walk.
There's a church on the main Rd next to Memorial park you might be able to park.

Or the car parks on the old market site in the town centre.

Never failed to find somewhere to park on East St, leading up to the ground.

Thank you for all the information, much appreciated.

One last question……..can you take your dog into the ground?

Not said in jest, genuine question. Been to Rammy and Kendal this season, both dog friendly. Google search tells me Padiham is dog friendly too.

I thought you meant "one man and a dog" for the attendance.

Sorry. The rest of your posts seemed genuine.

I apologise for any offence caused.

Fair play to the clubs who allow dogs.

I hope you enjoy the match.

No worries ecc, I didn’t understand your post at first and then got where you were coming from!!! When we were at Rammy v Nelson Jay Rod and his other half made a right fuss of my mate’s Beddie. No offence taken, non-league can be so different to the pro game, at Kendal we must have had 3 pints watching the game with our dogs with us.

Apparently, non-League gates are rising as people become more and more disillusioned with the PL etc.
