Don’t think I’d turn my nose up at a £50 voucher or signed home shirt but each to their own.
This thread brings back to mind Ternent’s comment along the lines of ‘Give Burnley fans and fiver and they’d ask why it’s not a tenner!’
There was only a few people. Could have found decent prizes for a Boxing Day match. Seriously a key chain, fluffy dice and a water bottle!
Maybe even sort a second signed shirt for the guy that also got it into that prize slot.
I get your point, but they would have been better just sticking to the two main prizes.

Goal music was shocking and rightly potted. Drowning out the spontaneous roar of a crowd with music was mindboggling.
Just in case Alan is reading - NEVER bring back goal music!

Okay, I'll bite. I would sort of see your point if it was just some randoms pulled from the crowd for a laugh, but it was to encourage people to download the app and was also a sponsored segment.
Who cares? It was a bit of half time nonsense.

I think some folks just don't have a sense of humour, and look at everything so seriously.... It was a bit of fun

Exactly but still not as much fun as trying to get through the CFS concourse at half time.
Looking at the state of some of the characters in there, it wasn't difficult to see why the CFS lot were so quiet until the second disallowed goal.

The lights show is no more exciting than me quickly switching my living room light switch on and off.
Think of something else or don't bother.
I like the light show but they need to mix up the video. Can’t be the same one again and again.
Half time game was the worst thing we’ve done in years.

It was a comedy segment, but only a week or so since a group of kids took penalties against Bertie Bee with the best celebration winning an orthopaedic memory foam pillow donated by our official sleep partner.

I’m not sure Dom has the delivery for it as a comedy segment. It was funny, just not for the reasons I think they intended

Oh yea, agreed. I think the crap prizes were booby prizes but that didn’t really come across. Just thought it was funny that the previous game had 7 year old kids battling to win an orthopaedic pillow.

Well, it made us laugh. Why did the first lass keep putting it in the same slot when it was constantly ending up in the 'get another go' segment?
It got ridiculous near the end when only about a third (at a guess) of the segments were available and weren't 'get another go'. I thought we'd be there all night!

Dougcollins it looked like this, in Claret and Blue with numbered slots at the bottom. Game was OK but the prizes

It was surprisingly entertaining, but to be fair, what were the chances of it ending up in the same section every time?

My wife and kids thought it was a right laugh and the prizes were obviously deliberately poor. The whole thing was just a bit of fun - not to be taken seriously but some feel the need to complain about anything.

Yeah forgot to mention this. A very unfortunate inclusion of the ‘N’ word - you’ve really got to wonder who approved this.

Not as bad as when they were regularly playing Messy in Heaven which mentions Jesus doing cocaine… he sits in the CFS apparently

Now that was entertainment! Loved the blow up pie thing.
I didn't mind the Drop it Like it's Hot the other day. Yes it was cringe but better than nowt and no one goes to the Turf for the half time entertainment.

Better prizes on offer today, but the first person to land on number 5 got 2 tickets for the Mechanics, yet the second person to land on number 5 won £150 worth of club shop vouchers.

Noticed that they ditched the Drop it like it’s hot music after the ‘n word’ got an airing last time out.

Much better prizes today but they should surely do one for adults and one for kids. Kids want signed shirts, not tickets to Burnley Mechanics (and vice versa perhaps!).

Do we really need entertaining at half time??? I spend most of it queuing for a p*** like most other folk and then chatting to the guy next to me about how **** we've been.

They could have a half time draw for £1000 and some on here would still complain that it wasn't £1001.
Sign of the times when winning something for free isn't deemed good enough.

The two kids that had a go won 2 x tickets to Burnley Mechanics and some vouchers for a website I'd never heard of before, but let's hope it's a kid-friendly website!
The adults won a signed shirt, £150.00 worth of club shop vouchers (which seemed to just be made up on the spot) and a Burnley club shop hamper between them. I'm sure the first kid will enjoy watching The Blow Monkeys or Clinton Baptiste at The Mechanics assuming she doesn't have school the following morning................!!!
This was so much like The Phoenix Club as to look genuinely like a p155 take.

Did they specify that it can't be for a children's show? I would have thought the child could use the tickets on the Sanderson's Dance Show, or the sing-along Matilda, or perhaps James Phelan the magician, or the Taylor Swift tribute act, or the Robin Hood pantomime, or either of the other dance shows ...
And that's just up to Easter. You're wrong to assume the Mechanics is an adult-only venue.

I laughed when the second guy got his disc in the same slot as a previous contestant, and won £150 worth of club shop vouchers whereas the first guy won 2 tickets to the Mechanics. A bit like the old chestnut “First prize a ticket to a game at Ewood, second prize 2 tickets to a game at Ewood”
