Dyer would be a definite yes for me. Play as a defensive midfielder which will then allow Sander to push forward into a more attacking role.

If we didn't have so many CBs already, I'd say Dier would be an excellent short term acquisition given his versatility. But he isn't going to play there for us. And he doesn't have the legs like Brownhill to replace him. So you'd have to use him as a 3 alongside Brownhill and Berge. And then that leaves only 3 slots for Foster, Amdouni and the 2 wingers. And I don't think Kompany will play like that
