I was in Blackpool today. We were in Coral Island playing some games and a staff member randomly shouted at us “The towers on fire, it’s mayhem out there!”. We thought bloody hell we need to see that. Head outside and it’s calm as anything with nobody bar us looking up at the tower, no smoke and nothing resembling fire. We went back inside after assuming that the arcade worker had just done some smack or similar before shouting at us.

It wasn’t till I got a signal on my phone that I realised I had missed calls and texts from my parents as they knew we were possibly going up the tower (had taken our 6 year old for the day). My Mum astonishingly thought that Al Qaeda’s latest target was Blackpool apparently. I have seen the videos since and I understand the optical illusion from the tarp that was fluttering but surely people understand that there would have been smoke. Baffling!

It's not in the least homophobic. Plenty of times if I've not liked something I've said "you can stick that up yer arse". It's a phrase to show rejection rather than reference to sexual practices.

Secondly, what you are stereotyping as gay sex isn't just reserved for man on man these days you know, there are ladies that will partake. Plus, it's a fact that not every male gay couple partakes in the activity you are referring to.

So your accusation of homophobia in itself uses homophobic stereotypes. Stop trying to make out it's something it isn't.
