He an attacking full back quick and can beat a man 1v1 defensively he improved as he went on but he can both carry and beat a man.

Very good mobility and plenty of growth full Northern Irish International

If he’s the one that plays for Liverpool he might be another Flanagan,

His Club is Liverpool and spent last season on loan at Bolton playing more or less every game

He not another Flanagan at all ranked high on assists in a system that allowed him too he very good going forward handles the ball well and got better than better defensively he would be a massive upgrade on what we have

Flanagan was also highly rated .

Ok don’t trust me they’re massively different types of players.

One is forward thinking handles the ball well in tight areas and has so much game 1v1 and an end product and improved his defensive work.

The other was old fashioned full back for me.

No there no guarantee but if we are in for him he the type we should be targeting has lots of growth has mobility and more end product in the middle/final third which can’t be coached

That would be some step up from league 1 to regular right back in the premier league.

I would be amazed if he started for us

I wouldn’t at all the type we should be targeting and I doubt we be the only ones in for him either he has a high ceiling for sure.

If you watch him you see why we’re interested like I said I bloody hope we are he has such a ceiling and plenty of growth.

It a bit like Trafford when he started at Bolton he was nervous and very much like he was first few games for us. But he grew into it got tougher but had all the qualities you need to be a top keeper which he is now turning into.

He really struggled but showed real mental toughness and you could just tell he had it mentally and has ability as a goalkeeper.

Bradley is quality has growth to be a top line full back he modern he can play in forward areas has good mobility ability 1v1 and last I watched him he improved his back post defending and can grow. He has end product and would fit our way but that’s just my opinion

Yes Trafford has struggled to make the step up. He starting to come good now.

    Disagree.

I’ve never heard of him, so this post isn’t specific to this player, but any players anywhere near as good as Trafford is turning out to be, are welcome here for me.

I’m fully behind this whole strategy of prioritising the recruitment of the best young talent we can find in the market and developing them. He mightn’t be one for this year but that’s fine by me - stick with Vitinho/Roberts - because I don’t think we’ll be signing any Boey’s or the likes. So let’s go for the best young talent available.

It’s amazing the depth and talent we have in our squad compared to when VK walked through the door.

I’m all on board the signing of brilliant young talent and trying to develop them to make the team better. Even if it means losing a few along the way to bigger clubs (like Brentford sold Watkins and Benrahma but replaced them with Toney and Mbuemo).

I’d rather the club was stocked with bright youngsters rather than old washed up players on huge wages, stop gap players nobody else wants.

      CJ Egan-Riley?
The lad should have gone out for a second loan.
Perhaps he will in the next window.

But what good is Ayling? what purpose does he serve?

He’s a worse right back than Roberts, on 5 times the wage of Vitinho, he’s not getting better just worse. Mediocre as hell.

He’s not elevating us in any way, he’s not providing value, he’s taking away from the club. He’d be a complete drain on resources, very similar to Phil Bardsley who was paid millions by this club for what? Lowton should have been backed up by a younger player with a much higher ceiling to eventually succeed him in the 11.

Surely the better play would be to sign a younger player with huge promise on way less money and hope he becomes a considerably better player than Ayling who significantly improves the team and is an asset to the club. Even if that young player doesn’t quite work out he still has value in the market (like Twine)

Bardsley was a brilliant back up for us. His aggression really helped us and experience really helped us when we went through bad spells and thats the value he offered us. He is a far superior full back to Roberts, who tends to go under when he comes under real pressure.

If you were a manager of the opposition team you would target Roberts constantly with balls in behind him, or crosses from the left to the back post that hes supposed to be defending. You couldn't do that with Bardsley or Lowton, or possibly Ayling.

Luke Ayling? Seriously? Car crash of a defender with a good engine. Can’t even make the Leeds squad. A couple of my Leeds United supporting mates can’t wait to see the back of him (same sentiments to Patrick Bamford too).
