Pretty sure Foster was injured in first half. Hopefully that was the problem

Just watching the replay and Muric did nothing wrong. It was a good throw out that Amdouni made a mess of.
It was a brilliant throw, straight to his feet. Amdouni panicked.

Amdouni was following the flight of the ball as it swung in. Suddenly at last second Muric flicked it and it fell slightly behind him. All he could do was flick his boot at it and it flew over. I was more concerned how he kept slipping. New studs needed?

I'd still play Muric over Trafford. I think the players feel more at ease with him between the sticks

Certainly gave them a game, but we offered little/nothing in the final third and yet again we cough up possession in our own third for the goal. Still the same problems at both ends of the pitch which is killing us.
Good performances from the likes of O’Shea, Delcroix, Taylor, Cullen, Ramsey and Zaroury. Possible injuries to Foster and Taylor not good news.

It was silly from Muric and Amdouni possibly could have done more.

Can't fault the players' efforts and if you have to go down by a single goal, I can cope with losing to those sort

I honestly don’t think this side is a million miles away.

VK needs to learn from these type of performances and make the big decisions.

For me there were some real positives in Ramsey, Cullen, Delcroix.

I will no doubt get slated but I really think he’s got to take Amdouni out, he’s just not effective enough
You get slated not because you say Amdouni should be dropped, but because you can’t just leave it there, you have to take the criticism too far.

For what’s is worth, I agree that Amdouni should be dropped and I’d have Cullen brought in alongside Berge and move Brownhill further forward like he did last season.

Played well, certainly not outclassed…but showed why we’re not Premier League established…………

Done by a worldly but how often do we say that…..is it because we give them those chances?

Anyway, decent performance and a big one in a week…….thats what matters…….

UTC and well done those who travelled…….safe trip home.

Not sure I agree, I don’t think I have taken it too far. Numerous posters say considerably worse about the likes of Ramsey and O’Shea and don’t get half as much abuse in return.

I 100% agree, I think we would be in much more control of the game with Cullen Berge and Brownhill in the side. Brownhill further forward would hopefully push this team 15 yards further up the pitch with his closing down.

The mistake was throwing it, but that said, had it come off it would have been a good break. Sometimes we need to play the percentages like we did with Dyche

Strange game in lots of ways. Spurs had lots of the ball around our area and really didn't create much, whilst we were poor in the final third but created the most clear cut chances.

Overall a good showing, but yet again nothing to show for it. We missed probably the two clearest chances of the match and once again engineered our own downfall. We're hugely frustrating to watch as a Burnley fan. On the plus side O'Shea is definitely getting to grips with the level and Delcroix looked good too. Muric gives us a different dimension and without slating Trafford surely he's got to be worth trying in the league. At least I'm not crapping myself when the opposition get every free kick and corner.

It was a bit of a rash throw really but he was trying to set up a breakaway. Amdouni was facing his own goal and the Spurs full back saw the fall all the way and was perfectly position to nick the ball and subsequently run on to score. I don’t think it was a brilliant ball in anybody’s eyes really?

One big issue is although we have been better recently and we are staying in games, teams are having to miss a lot of chances for us to stay in games, we can’t keep letting teams have 16/17 chances a game and expect to always stay in them

O'Shea and Delcroix were excellent tonight plus I thought Cullen played well . Don't understand why Larsen went upfront with Jay on the bench .
The answer to that is that Rodriguez is sadly finished, Kompany would rather play an out of form winger out of position than him.

One worldy away from a draw. Problem is, that was a Spurs reserve team. We're still not premier league yet, only a top championship team. Some amazing work to be done this transfer window if we're to stay up.

Was it really a ‘Spurs reserve team’ any more than it was or more rotated players?

I’d argue more of their first team than ours played the game tonight.

Some positive performances tonight, including Muric, OShea and Zaroury.
Playing Bruun Larsen up top is no solution however. VK should know by now

That is the Spurs team without their stars. Although they are away on National duty it could just as easily be injury. Thought Spurs were pretty ordinary tonight without them.

With a little more composure and, maybe a little more luck, we could have, at least, got a replay or possibly a win tonight.

16 shots 7 on target for spurs, my point is generally in games if we continue to allow high volume of chances we will end up being out of games like we were in the first 10 games of the season

Proud of the effort, they eventually punished our naive mistakes, we didn't capitalise with our chances, that said yet again we were physically out muscled yet again in midfield.

Yes the unforced errors were the major downside of
tonights performance for me, we just have to retain the
ball better.

I keep reading this "suicide pass" thing. The goalkeepers are under strict instructions to distribute the ball quickly and to feet. It was a cup match where a draw was not in our interests and we needed to push for a win. Muric was playing to order - Amdouni couldn't execute what was a reasonable tactic in moving the ball on quickly once he had it under control.

Yet kompany said ‘one of our better players lost the ball’ so it’s clear kompany doesn’t think it was a suicide pass from muric it was just that what Amdouni tried didn’t come off, he could attempt that another 10 times and it could come off every time
