However I thought he was excellent.

Likewise Dave, albeit a very easy game to referee.

As above, I can't vote but he did a good job and nice to see a young up and coming referee.

That's the third time I've seen him referee a Burnley game and for the third time I can find nothing to mark him down on. Can't do the ratings this time having watched on TV but he does seem to have a calmness about him and it's no surprise he's getting so many Premier League games.

He was very good and reminded me of the old days when referees simply got on with the game with the assistance of their linesmen. Sure they will make mistakes but even with all the cameras and jiggery pokery of the VAR officials there is uproar most weeks about something. Goal line technology was good but little else has helped supporters and referees enjoy the match control.

Best ref (or team of refs) we’ve had for a long while

Can't vote despite having the advantage of replays and slow motion analysis as opposed to people who vote from seats whilst they might have their view obstructed and do so before watching the tele ( usual moan about the rate the ref rules 😁) however I thought he was excellent apart from being a bit of a homer.

I appear to be the only one who thought he was really one sided.
Tresor got a booking when a Spurs player did exactly the same.
Second half there was a blatant shirt pull in midfield that he let go.
Two free kicks that were deliberately stopped from taken quickly with no repercussions.
He did let play flow but for me was a homer.

Tricky game to ref with all the penalty and red card checks and did brilliantly. Got everything right.

Better than many we've had this season but still below the required standard. Booked Cullen for a perfect ball-winning tackle but ignored clatterings by Spurs players that got nowhere near the ball, the one on Zaroury, right in front of him, a prime example. Tresor booking was right but he didn't book the spurs player who did exactly the same thing. Basic stuff.

Homer. No Spurs booking for the foul on Anass first half was **** poor. Proper hate not enforcing distance on freekicks.

Generally a good performance, in what was quite an easy game to ref. Was a nice change to see someone calm and undemonstrative in their demeanour and performance, which we didn’t have on Saturday, and not making the game about them.

As someone above, felt he was a little bit uneven with his distribution of yellow cards, and Spurs got away with a few in comparison to ours. He wasn’t helped by VAR, especially the check after the Cullen foul, which he got right, but the checking of it makes an unnecessary questioning of him. Would have liked him to crack down more on Spurs dissent; Richarlison awful for this, and Lo Celso and Bentancaur not far behind, and also on the Spurs going to ground too easily, but thankfully he wasn’t fooled by this in and around the box. Lo Celso was awful for this in the first half in particular.

Thought he did well at Bournemouth (horribly let down by VAR), but was poor against West Ham, with the 1st half non-penalty still unbelievable. This was comfortably his best game doing us.

It seems like that every game we play. They can’t get their cards out quick enough to caution a Claret yet when it’s the other way nothing happens.

How he booked Cullen for winning the ball and not Spurs players for deliberate kicks I will never know.

At least he didn't put up with all the theatrical from some spurs players.

Not bad but if booking Cullen early on was an attempt to set the tone, he failed miserably. Let so many Spurs fouls go and ignored repeated standing on the ball to stop free kicks being taken. At least VAR didn't fall for the Spurs players rolling around in the area every time they were tackled.

Again from TV so no ratings.

It was a good performance and I can only make a few nit picks.

1. Our two yellows. I think both given for the Spurs players rolling about in agony. They were nothing incidents at best so I'm not sure why Cullen's one was checked for, presumably, a possible red.

2. Their possible penalty which seemed similar to the Ramsay/Aston Villa one. Ref ignored, VAR backed him up.

3. The Taylor substitution. Surprised no one has had a go at the ref for this as after Taylor went off we played for a time with just ten men and it nearly cost us. This is what I wrote on the ratings thread:

Taylor was being treated for quite a while (it seemed obvious he would go off. Although he went down complaining of his shoulder it seemed to be his leg, which had troubled him earlier) and took an inordinate amount of time to go off. Meanwhile we still hadn’t got Al Dakhil ready (what were they doing on the bench?) so the ref, impatient with us I assume, restarted play with us only ten men on the pitch.

I then complained about our lack of leadership in this incident and the poor effort on our bench.

On the whole a well played game by both sides requiring little intervention by the ref. Trainers on only once I think, for Taylor.

Referee got nothing wrong with the Taylor substitution. Charlie went off and had he been coming back on he’d have had to wait 30 seconds. We’d no sub to come on so we had to play with ten until the next stoppage in play.

Al Dakhil and Tresor were ready to come on. The papers were with the fourth official and he had the board at his knees.
