Decided to stay over in London last night after the game. Went to lilywhites this morning telling my son it was the most famous sports shop in the world. It’s now sports direct!!! Anyway, thankfully forum and mason is still there. £24.95 for a tin of jasmine tea.

I love Jasmine tea. I get mine from "Carslake tea co."
Excellent quality and reasonably priced.

I’d expect Jasmine as well as the tea for 25 notes tbh

Cabbage, don't be expecting Jasmine tea when you come to my house for a brew. It will be in the usual beaker, not in a bone China cup and saucer.

Didn’t realise you drank tea…. You normally demolish the European coffee mountain when you come to our place….

What's wrong with drink tea out of the saucer?

Back in the day, a trip to Lillywhites whilst in London was a must. Every sport catered for, across the various floors, in a fantastic building in Piccadilly Circus. The first time I noticed the change was in 2008, the morning after we beat Chelsea, when I paid a visit. What a huge shock. They’d turned it into just another Sports Direct, that looked like a church jumble sale, with endless rows of Slazenger and Lonsdale sweatshirts, hoodies, and tracksuit bottoms, with loads of stock in cardboard boxes, or on the floor. Tragic.

Agreed, I always used to go there when I was in London when I first lived in the south (25+ years ago); sometimes because I needed an item, sometimes just for a browse at all the kit. I bought a fair few cricket items over the years. I cant remember exactly when it went hugely downmarket but it was a real downer when I first saw that.
In my town (Basingstoke) there's no specialist proper sports shop, there was one in Winchester I used to pop into when I actually played sports but that's gone now.
I guess people much more buy sports kit online now but its good to try on a few boots/ swish a few cricket bats before you plump for a purchase surely.

I’m sure Jasmine is lovely, just ask her what brand she drinks.
