It's not often that Hudders are on telly. If this was the other way round, and we were in Huddersfield's position, we would be screaming like mad on here as to why the BBC hadn't picked the game.

Probably considered a local derby. Huddersfield will be taking 8k no doubt.

Viewing figures. Same reason every Man Utd cup tie bar a couple has been on telly for the past million years.

Good point. When was the last time Man Utd didn't have a televised cup tie?
It's the same reason Leeds are on Sky more than anyone else in The Championship.

I hope to be proved wrong, but to all intents and purposes Town will get battered.

Of course they are going to show the current holders trying to defend the trophy.

I've never followed "the Wrexham story" so I was quite surprised to see Stephen Fletcher playing up front for them. Shrews playing more football in the first half but Wrexham certainly posing a few problems up front with Fletcher, Mullin and their (very) long throw expert -Tozer.

Yes, I seriously DO think if we were in the same position as Hudders we would want the tie to be on the BBC. Why? Well for starters, I think after five or six seasons out of the top flight, we would be grateful for the 50k or so it brought in.

I think you are looking at this through EPL eyes. Clubs outside the Prem are very happy indeed when their FA Cup ties are televised. I've yet to hear of a single lower league club complain that their third round tie was live on telly. 50k is not to be sniffed when you haven't a pot to **** in.

I’ve never seen this stat before and wonder how and why it’s measured.

Because we run least amount of meters to attack does that mean we are more proficient at winning the ball back higher and don’t have to attack as far?

Or does it mean we are really lazy and don’t run enough when attacking?

If anyone saw the stat and can shine some light on it, it would be appreciated

I’m thinking it’s the y axis ‘direct speed’ as it shows us with the 2nd slowest ball progression.

Thank you, that matches up with the data the bbc showed, slightly skewed by the the fact they don’t show the other axis to give a better picture.
My immediate view is the teams to the left on the shorter passing sequences are mainly bottom half teams. Those that are high passing sequence attacking teams are mainly the top half clubs.
Backs up what Kompany and other managers state when they say we aren’t far off a decent side. We are clearly doing the right things but probably with the lack of quality/cohesion to execute things.
Whether it will clicks before end of season, who knows. It will be close and exciting though!
