Still on TV but this is an absolute nonsense having a game moved at such short notice

Why couldn't the cup replay have been played on the Friday night?

Would have been worse if it hadn't already been planned.

Selfishly it's better for me, and maybe others who take young kids on the game

Original kick off was 19:45. Is it definitely 20:00 this Friday?

Everyone knew it might move so hardly a surprise.

Prefer Friday to Monday tbh

Apologies for that, article has now been corrected, it is, as you say, at 7:45. I had it correct on the fixture list too.

Too short notice for a replay - there has to be ten days notice given

On a weekend where there is only 5 PL games, did they really need one on a Monday night in the first place?

Claret Tony. I know you attend various groups on behalf of us spectators. Do you ever point out, and will you following this, that it is totally unfair on paying spectators that games can be moved with5 days notice. This game has already been moved once, it is a complete disgrace.

Had originally made plans for this one when it was on the Saturday. Changed them to accomodate the Mondsy change, now can't attend the 3rd option on Friday., completely ridiculous situation.

Said on the other thread about the game. I feel for the Luton fans in all this, firstly thinking about planning a Monday night game and taking time off work etc, and now having to change it all to go on a Friday night. It stinks!

But it does mean I can now go, so that’s a plus for me

It is a disgrace, but clubs are never going to bite the hand that feeds them.

It’s not like we didn’t know it was a possibility.

Fans always come last, but we’ve known for weeks this might happen. All the faux outrage is ridiculous

A possibility. How the heck do you make travel arrangements, book accommodation, book time off work etc on a possibility.

If TNT now have a “slot” to show on the Friday, why was it moved to the Monday in the first place?

I’m involved with the Football Supporters Association and I lodged my concern about this and have contacted them again this afternoon. Sadly there is precious little we can do. It’s no consolation but other games get this treatment over the season and it’s shocking for the Luton fans although it’s the same for a lot of our fans. I’d just got something planned for Friday but one phone call has been able to get it switched to Monday so it makes no odds to me personally but this is so downright wrong.

This is one of the reasons I believe we need a strong Supporters Group that will stick its nose in when things like this happen.

Suspect, but could be wrong, that the clubs had an input into this.

Unfortunately a strong fans group wouldn't change these things happening, not while all the millions of pounds are being put in by the TV companies

Perhaps to mitigate against any extra costs involved in rearranging travel plans etc., it may have been a good idea to stick £50 on Luton and Bolton to draw that was priced up at around 3/1 :?

A total surprise to many of us, and as others have said above - a total disgrace that many supporters (of both teams) will have booked transport and / or accommodation, or (as in my son's case) booked a day's leave (holiday) from work when the game was moved to the Monday.

Sometimes think people go over the top with fixture changes but this change is ridiculous with such short notice. It messes people( me included) and businesses about. Doubtful I can make it now and was a special occasion. Fans are low down the priority list these days unfortunately.

Looking at the BBC website, it appears the Luton's game in hand away at Bournemouth is "pencilled in" for 18th May although shows 'TBC' ..if that date is confirmed, it may suit Luton to have this game in hand especially if they're in a relegation scrap (that may involve us) I don't understand why this fixture cannot be scheduled earlier. By the same token, why should our home game with Luton be played so soon??

If it doesnt effect the injury status of our players then this should be a nice little advantage for us.
Luton played their first team and will now only have 4 recovery days one of which theyll have to travel on, where as we will have had basically a week to prepare.

Why was it not scheduled for a Friday originally? Both clubs were going to be in 3rd round of the club, and one of the teams needing a replay wasn't improbable. Fans are just an afterthought.

Bit of a bummer for me. On my way to Salisbury. Have 3 long meets, babysitting and 700 newsletters to deliver. Be there for heating engineer and ocado.
All in 4 days before the journey back. Grrr.

Not sure where the BBC have got that from. The season ends on the 19th May so they won’t be playing on the day before. I’ve just checked and there is no date yet for the game.
