Be delighted to see Odobert in a Burnley shirt next term, but I suspect he'll sling his hook.

Muric won't stick around if Trafford remains in place.

Brownhill and Cullen have already proven they are top championship quality, no need to get 2 new centre mids unless one or both were to leave.

Brownhill is out of contract and I can't imagine him doing another season in the Championship at this stage of his career. Cullen won't get a better offer from a PL club.

Team 1
Muric
Vitinho O'Shea Beyer Taylor
Cullen Berge
JBG Amdouni JBL
Foster

Team 2
Trafford
Roberts Ekdal Al Dakhil NEW
Massango NEW
Benson? Brownhill Zaroury
NEW

That's 2 decent championship teams with the potential of bringing in a much needed left back, centre mid and Striker

We can also offload for cash:(although I'd love some of these to stay)
Koleosho, Odobert, Tresor

Move on, Redmond, Jay Rod and Cork (although I would keep him for a season in the champ)

——————————Trafford
Vitinho/NEW—-O’Shea—-Beyer—Taylor/NEW
————Cullen————Berge
Redmond——Brownhill——Koleosho
—————————-Foster

Muric, Al-Dakhil, Ekdal, Delcroix, Ramsey, JBG, Zaroury, Obafemi, New Striker

Squad: Massengo, Twine, Agyei, Mellon, Vigoroux, Egan-Riley, Franchi, McNally

I have discounted players I think we’ll manage to sell (Amdouni, Odobert), players I cannot be certain of the future of (Tresor, Weghorst, Roberts, Benson) and players we will release (Rodriguez, Cork).

More than enough to get promoted relatively easily even without masses of purchases, but we’d need another right back, left back, striker and centre mid for depth.

I’m utterly relaxed about the prospect.

Brownhill has another years option which we will no doubt be activating. Good lad but not convinced anyone in this league would pay the £10m or so we would demand, approaching 29 too. If someone is willing to, fair enough - if not then he can play one more season for us in the Championship where he is a very good player.

Wish I was. It is assumed we will bounce straight back, well I am not so sure. Last season was all doom and gloom initially and looked what happened this season too much over confidence of what we would do and look what is happening.
Next season many of us are over confident IMO. The Championship is a tought league to escape from

Jedi ,what single contribution has Redmond made to warrant him even being in the Squad?

Premature speculation for many reasons but I’ll go for something like

—————-——-Trafford
Vitinho—O’Shea——Beyer——Delcroix/New
Zaroury—Berge——Brownhill——Koleosho
———-——Ramsey—Foster

Vigouroux, Ekdal, AAD, Cullen, Massengo, Redmond, JBG, Obafemi, New striker

Mellon, Egan-Riley, Roberts(?)

Sales:
Amdouni 15m
Odobert 20-25m
Tresor loan
Muric 7m
McNally 2m
Twine 3m
Weghorst 2m
Benson 4m

~60m approx which will be more than enough.

Large wages of Jay Rod, Taylor and Cork off the books. Few new signings obviously. Strong looking squad for that league. Foster will have Gyokeres at Cov level impact and output.

He’s been given no chance to, so neither of us can answer. I selected him based on my belief that JBL won’t be here, Benson won’t be here and JBG shouldn’t be a starter. Who else could play right wing?

From what I can tell, Kompany likes to have multiple players he likes in each department. We once kept three top class keepers happy so I’m hoping we can keep two happy now.

I'd expect the likes of Berge, Odobert and Foster to get a move. Trafford, O Shea, Beyer, Ekdal, Cullen and Brownhill will all be very good players at Championship level. Have a good clear out and build a team around lads like that.

I’d love to know what our wage bill is. Spotrac has it down as $35m this year or something, which if anywhere near true could see us make a tens of millions £’s profit this year. And we certainly won’t have paid out a lot in win or goal bonuses.

Just my view, but assuming our up front payments for the £96m paid in players was 25-30% of the total fees - £25m-£30m - then we’d likely be looking at a similar outlay next year and I do think it’s feasible we might’ve saved a similar sum this season to fund at least a good part of that outlay.

We also will hopefully not have the debt covenants we had last time and a number of our highest earners are are out of contract in the summer (Charlie, JBG, JRod, Cork) so there’s some relatively free wage bill consolidation there.

I have no idea how much we’ll need to raise through player sales but I’m hoping it’s not a huge amount.

Trafford - think a season in champ will do him good. Vigouroux as back up?

Vitinho/New - Vitinho did fine last season but would like to see an upgrade. Think Roberts will leave.

Beyer/O’Shea/Ekdal/Delcroix, Al Dakhil - can see all staying and don’t think we need to upgrade

2 x new left back - reckon Taylor leaves

Cullen/Massengo/Berge/New - hopefully Berge stays but need to add. Brownhill to leave I think. Cork released.

Koleosho/Zaroury/JBG/Larsen - think we see Odobert, Benson & Tresor leave. Be surprised to see Redmond stay too. Imagine we see new faces here again.

Ramsey/New (no 10) - Amdouni to leave.

Foster/New/New - an area to upgrade. Think Jay, Obafemi both leave.

I hope we are doing everything we can to sign O'Hare.
Sell Tresor, Vitinho, Roberts, Twine and build from there.

Trafford/new

New/Beyer Ekdal/o'Shea Beyer/delcroix Taylor/New

Berge/Cork/Ramsey Cullen/Brownhill/Massengo

...........................Ramsey/amdouni/O'Hare

Benson/jbg/redmond........................zaroury/koleosho

.........................Foster/obafemi/New targetman type

We will probably sell a few from there not really out of choice. I dont think Berge will play at champ level again and Odobert/foster will both attract bids so say we bring in 40 million in sales plus parachute payments then there should be money there to fill in the gaps.

I wish I had your positivity / belief there’s just no way this team goes and gets the 6 or 7 wins and handful of draws in the next 17 games to stay up.

Either way, should **** that league with our b team. It’s abysmal at the moment. Genuinely only handful of premier league talent at best.

Completely agree. Working on the basis we should now be preparing for the Champ, I think he’d be douche good signing.

Free in summer & assuming Amdouni goes (I think he might not, many do) - O’Hare and Twine as our 10 options for next year would be awesome and he has bags of Champ experience.

I’d be putting cheeky bids in now, not that Cov would expect, but to show him & his agent we want him. Hopefully put us front of the queue in summer.
