Southampton ripping Swansea apart. Benson would really enjoy himself playing in this Southampton team.

Not many matches on today. Gooners desperately need a win. Type of match Palace usually turn up for.

Wouldn’t say he actually shoved him,I thought he just leaned on him, mind you I thought Luton’s goal was ok last week, but let’s no go there.

Russell Martin doing a really good job at Saints. They had a poor start to the season, but they have really turned it around.
Swansea fans were really ****** when he left them, and they had some of the best possession stats in last seasons championship.
I'm surprised he isn't this season's 'Carrick', the media love a poster boy.

Arsenal and Luton’s goals are different for me.
White simply stands in front of the GK. It’s gamesmanship, but hard to penalise because he’s literally stood still.
Adebayo looks at Trafford and makes a movement towards him to block him off. He turns his back as he steps backwards to maximise the block. It’s a more proactive effort to disrupt the GK.

I agree that both are different and it would have been a real sickener had the Arsenal goal been disallowed by VAR after our misfortune.
Maybe the key to both goals being allowed to stand is that on neither occasions did the goalkeepers get a touch on the ball. I reckon the officials decisions might have been different in both incidents

A header apparently. I think he's playing as a number 10. He was always on the left wing for Hull and that is definitely not his position.

shot down low saved by the keeper, ball goes up into the air and it's who can jump highest between Twine and Jake Livermore. Twine wins the header comfortably as he has more of a run at it and sticks it in the corner

Agree. Do we know if his loan deal gives Bristol an option to buy at the end of the season?

I like Twine, but do we reckon he's going to improve sufficiently to play at PL level?
At 24, he still has time, i'd say, certainly hope so.

I'm thinking off him playing for us in the Championship next season. A good second half of the season with Bristol City would help greatly

It's lovely to see Rovers so low down in the Championship. We're pretty dreadful but goodness, it could be worse.
Rovers fans spent a lot of last season moaning about Jon Dahl Tomasson and his style of play etc even when they were briefly in the top two and punching above their weight. But last season was their best in years, although Rovers fans acknowledging that would require them to know something about football.

0-1 Forest 2 mins.

I thought that if you tried to stop a free kick being taken quickly by standing in front of the ball you received a booking but today most referees don't seem to be doing that.

Struggling with the Sky love-in for a player just back after an 8 month ban. Doesn’t feel right to be lauding him like they were, even though he has served his punishment.
Would take 1-1 in this game though. Anything but a Forest win but a draw and we lose no ground to either this gameweek (despite it feeling like it). Forest look rank bad though.

Peterborough in for £30 million windfall if IT is flogged for £100 million, apparently.
30% sell on clause.
Arsenal said to be still interested at that figure.

This level is all about sneakiness as well as talent.
Commentators completely missed Toney moving the ball a foot to his right, at the edge of England’s white foam. Yates then compounded it by jumping inside, which the commentator did spot. Unlike the keeper.

When Toney moved the ball the defender should have dragged his wall over to cover it .

He was referring to himself as ‘the king is back’ in some interviews I’d seen this week.
Laughable, really. He’s lucky he didn’t get sacked.
