Yep. Almost missed it the other week because they drop the E from blonde.
You'd think after being over here for 40 odd years I'd get used to it, but I have decided that it is one of my life's missions to correct their egregious spelling (except when it come to getting Wordle right).

The site also links to Connections - as in Only Connect wall round - and I'm often stumped by "Americanisms" on that game.

I got it in 4 but struggled a bit. I don’t like on the first go when you get one in exactly the right place but nothing else. I find when that happens I’ll draw another blank on the second one.

As well as the NY Times version of Wordle, I also play Wordling! (4, 5, 6 and 7 letter versions). And, for something a bit different, there is Worldle which invites you to guess country names from their shapes. What an exciting life I lead!

Louse followed by dairy is my strategy. All the vowels plus y and a few handy consonants. It seems to work OK. The other first timers were before using louse/dairy, one was appal and I can't remember the other.
