Pool World Championships - Seeking Sponsorship
I'm playing in various events at the upcoming Pool World Champiosnhips (I will be competing in the Seniors the Amatuers & Doubles events). Some matches will be streamed/televised on various formats.
The tournament takes place over a week in Newcastle starting 20th February.
Dress code is in operation and I have room for multiple sponsors logos if anyone might be interested in supporting a fellow claret.
The entry fees and cost of a shirt is what I'm aiming to cover (around £350 in total).
Any offers or even just messges of support would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not qualified to answer the last question but there's more worthy causes this platform can support.
As for being one of the sandygate lot, no. Is there a pool contingency there? Been out the scene in Burnley for some time but have played for teams allover the town at various stages.

Re: Pool World Championships - Seeking Sponsorship
I’m no good at pool myself.
I once got roped into playing for one of the pubs in Padiham when they were short and was defeated by a guy who apparently played for England (Bob Everiss I think his name was). I think I broke then came back to the table once for a couple of shots before he cleared up. I recall I got two down before he put me to the sword then I never played again!

There's a name I've not heard for a long time. I was about 14 when I started playing Bob. Most teams hated it when a group of kids from the snooker club used to turn up and roll them over but Bob seemed to welcome the competition.StayingDown4Ever wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 2:42 pmI’m no good at pool myself.

I assume he was the best player in that league if he played for England?what_no_pies wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 4:42 pmThere's a name I've not heard for a long time. I was a decent Pool player, but preferred to play snooker instead ,found it more satisfying compiling big breaks..Good luck mate.

I think it was likely he'll have played for England seniors by that stage. Would have certainly still been among the best in the league but us kids were fearless and already close to his level due to playing snooker every day.StayingDown4Ever wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 5:38 pmI assume he was the best player in that league if he played for England?
