Top of the table Wythenshawe are the visitors to Padiham tonight and the game is ON. He may or may not play but “He’s here, he’s there, he’s every ******* where” plays for Wythenshawe now.

He’s starting.

Edit to add - it’s Wythenshawe Town (there is just a Wythenshawe in the same league!).

Class result for the Storks, keeps the hopes of a play off place alive.

Left it too late I think - there’s a couple of teams just below where your table cuts off who have about 7 games in hand over Padiham too.

Doubt they could afford to go up, you need someone prepared to throw money at it unfortunately. Great club though, a good day out if there’s no Burnley game.
Probably more enjoyable at the minute as well

You’re right in that they couldn’t really afford to compete at the top of the next division but it’s not too dissimilar to the higher tiers in that the gate revenue alone would be worth it for a season. In the Counties not many sides bring more than two cars full to the Arbories but the league above you can expect a fair few sides to bring 150+.

Last time Padiham went up they stopped there for a few seasons as did Colne. In fact, there’s not too many go up the immediately back down - there’s always a couple in the division above have overspent the previous season (or their main sponsor pulls out) and take up a couple of the relegation spots.

Just seen they're supposed to have Barlick away on Saturday. With Burnley away they'd have been looking at a decent crowd but will be struggling to get it played I think.

Knowing barlicks pitch well there’s no chance of it being on

Padiham tweeted a pic of of a few Padiham flags up there earlier.
Shocking to call it off so late.

It's hard to blame the club for being determined to play and get a decent payday. Ref obviously decided it wasn't fit.
