Dyche approached the prem as a we shouldn’t be here stay in the game and get what we can

Luton arguably the same

We approached the season toe for toe and we got humbled especially not addressing the defensive worries from last season formality

Thanks Tony, I couldn't watch it yesterday and haven't yet seen the highlights so it's good to read we actually played quite well.

A small error in your report, it says we last visited in 2001.

Cheers, corrected it.

I thought we did play well but the way we concede goals is really bad. It was an issue at times last season but this season it's become a major issue which hasn't been addressed.

Whoever continues to plan us defending set pieces can't be much use. Time and time again we end up with one of our midgets marking giants, yet Jota gets a free header.

Just watch what Brownhill does for their first goal. He ends up marking VVD, well trying. It's really poor and has been ever since Dyche left.

spot on - the other week is Odobert marking a big defender

We are hopelessly outmatched on set pieces physically and nothing will fix that this season. Get ripped apart time and again.

Good report, think you were spot on about our defence. They did really well and hopefully we can keep building on that. Now those set pieces....

Thought our back four were the best combination we have played all season. Pace from the two new boys and improvement from the other 2. Just need a keeper who can command his six yard box and we would soon start to pick points. The back 5 is the main platform for any team

Slightly disagree
A strong spine throughout the team is usually considered to be more important
We don't have a strong GK or a strong CM
And both these weak areas continue to cost us

For me it is a contribution of a young goalkeeper who cannot dominate his immediate area and zonal marking which requires a goalkeeper who can dominate his box…
