Hope the injury is not as serious as it looked. Feel sorry for him as he has had a miserable season, looking out of his depth at this level. I'm never sure what his role is on the pitch and, the trouble is, I don't think he does either.

Had a brilliant season last year with Boro. Walked into a really weak team and VK playing him out of position. Hopefully has a speedy recovery and comes back stronger.

Agree with this. If he signs for a Brentford or Brighton probably looks decebf but in our side looks dire.

Did t really follow his time at Boro but to be fair, we’re littered with players that looked good in the league below but not here.

Hopefully Kompany learns from that to some extent.

Most of those who looked good last season haven't had a look in this season. Baffling.

I wouldn't say that Cullen or Zaroury really got a look in, how many games have they played more than 60minutes in? Your other point stands though.

Honestly mate, I don’t think it’s baffling.

We had a luxury team in the Champ. Commanding possession and then damaging teams with that bit of extra quality. The Premier League is 3-4 levels higher than the Championship. Thats why we’re fishes out of water.

The interesting thing for me is how we play next year. In the one hand, if I were Kompany I’d try and repeat how we played last year. In the other, we all know now that we’ll never be able to repeat that in the premier league. I’d like to see us massively improve in areas we just don’t compete now - corners, set-pieces, etc - and also become much more physical.

But at the same time if we do that without playing our better football we might not get promoted at all.

"Baffling", This board is littered with this adjective.
However it is not descriptive of anything more than the relevant posters' inability to understand something.

Hope he recovers soon. We won’t miss him on the pitch though. Been a shocking signing to date. VK will be forced to pick someone else now.

Possible ACL injury on an 21 year old England youth international who’s our player and we have people thanking god he’s out.

On the match thread we had Westleigh calling him a wimp for going down like he’d been shot.

I mean, what a disgrace.

Has he even played 10 games worth of minutes yet?

Way, way too early to write off such a young player.

I explained about my post ,and apologised but you still want to stir the **** I see,and if you’d care to watch the replay he didn’t get hurt by the tackle he got hurt as he fell down.

To be fair to RV, this is on you.

Maybe take time to think before scurrying to your keyboard.

In my defence I was watching it live in Tv ,we’re getting a pasting and Ramsey who wasn’t contributing much to the game jumped over a tackle the camera moved away from Ramsey and I expressed my opinion and like anyone else wasn’t aware that he’d been injured ,I then get slaughter by someone saying I should be banned ,and then 2,or 3 more start ranting about the post ,I again tried to explain and said if CT wants to ban me fair enough ,but I didn’t suggest anything like one poster did saying he was glad he was out of the team ,then after that died down the next holier than thou post came from RV with another personal attack ,so that’s my explanation,if your happy with that then ok ,but some of the VK and Burnley can’t do anything wrong clan are starting to look like drowning men and will do anything to distract from another shambolic team performance.

Fair enough, thanks for explaining.

I am part of the VK in camp, but I am far from happy about this season, there have been serious issues with recruitment but if you offered me any manager to get us back up it'd be Vincent Kompany.

He's given me one of the most memorable seasons in my 40+ years watching the club and that can't be white washed away because this season has been such a mess.

Get what you say here in term's of anybody to bring us back, but firstly, it won't be easy next time make no mistake, the camaraderie and togetherness and belief in vk being the next big thing won't be as strong next season, last seasons squad all bought into it and gelled beyond belief ! And secondly, even if he returns us, what's the point, to come back to this 🤔 because I for one don't see him managing any other way, and after 25 games he's learnt the square root of nothing imo. Surely pace can't allow him another clear out and rebuild, can he ?

It didn't help with Vinny telling us he play for England one day, just after signing him.

It builds expectations far too high for a youngster.
