Am surprised it’s taken Andy Holt this long…
No doubt either Coleman or Bell said something yesterday which proved to be the final straw.

Who's gonna replace them at a price they can afford?
Absolute shoestring budget, no money, no f**k all.

Should have gone weeks ago after that interview Bell gave.

He did an interview with the BBC moaning about not getting a new contract etc, should have read the room baring in mind they had just been relegated.

A player manager is a way forward it would be a good start for Ben Mee

We could loan them a few defenders and see if Ben could get them to defend

There's absolutely no chance Mee should be dropping down to play in League 2

Seems like the relationship has been breaking down for a while from following Andy Holt on twitter.

He’s trying to sell up is Holt.
I assume going from this announcement that he’s had zero offers.

John Coleman and Jimmy Bell sacked at Accrington Stanley this morning ...
I think they've worked wonders given the resources at their disposal, but had already been told that their contracts would not be renewed at the end of this season.

Holt deleted his twitter account before the announcement. About time they both went, two of the most arrogant obnoxious people I’ve ever had the displeasure to meet.

Andy Holt seems to have been losing the plot recently and it all stemmed from Bell going to Radio Lancs about their contracts rather than speaking to him. He should have sacked them both then to be honest.
Coleman was the second longest serving manager in the league by the time he left Accy for Rochdale. On his return he reached second place again. That's a hell of a long time for someone to be manager of a club these days, but it all seems to have fallen apart in the last year.

Not holding back, watching a documentary about Stanley a few years ago, always thought that you could add end to the end of Jimmy Bell’s name.

He's certainly gone in on them.
He's always been a hero, receiving plaudits as an owner. I don't think he likes all the stick he has been getting, especially at the same time as losing lots of money.

I’m not sure airing your dirty laundry is the best approach, but I suppose he has come under a lot of criticism and it’s his right to defend his actions.
If you look at it he has worded argument well and justified his reasons. He just forgot to add how near impossible the accy job is given the resources available.
I’d be surprised if any other manager could keep them in the football league. If they drop out then it’s curtains for them

think they would struggle elsewhere as their spell at Rochdale proved

That was a good read. Not sure wether I agree with all of his reasons though. Sounds like the main thing was being backed in to a corner and having pressure thrown on him by the managers wanting longer contracts. I understand why he wouldn't want to bow to this, but the Wrexham stuff is also still pretty fresh and he comes across as just not liking to be challenged and reacting really badly when he feels like his hand is being forced, because its his club and he's bank rolling it. I'm not saying he's wrong but I don't know if I agree with airing things like this.

Not looking good long term, is it?
As he points out, no interest from anywhere with regards
to taking the club on.
Looks like an object lesson in throwing good money
after bad.

Could be a lot to be said for a strategic partnership between us and accy. They get a few of our u23s, use of the training ground, a better pitch installed at theirs, and we make their ground our u23 and women's ground.

Amazed that has never transpired in some form or other. Seems a massive missed opportunities for both parties.

There was the somewhat half arsed attempt to base the women's team there, but if we were there with enough clout, it could work well.
