Confident for tomorrow

I can't believe this has happened again, I told myself not to let it happen, but I can't help it...
I AM CONFIDENT FOR TOMORROW.
What is wrong with me? Do I need some help? Speak to my GP or something??
Bonkers.

What you’re feeling is completely normal, but that’s a very strange username for a Brentford fan!

You’ve more chance of us winning, than getting a GP’s appointment.

I'd be surprised with any win between now and the end of the season if I'm honest.
I'd certainly like one though

Would be nice but I suspect we will pick up points once our relegation is confirmed and we play teams who are already on the beach.

Didn't bother with the last 2 home games as I could guess what was going to happen - and I wasn't wrong.
However, I have a feeling we might win tomorrow so I am back being a super fan.

I think Tony will have a field day against our centre halves, their midfield will just smash their way through ours. Draw at best. Really hope I'm wrong.

We’re incapable of keeping a clean sheet. So it’ll be 0-3 or 1-3.

I expect a defeat as with every game. I’ve missed a number through choice this season for the first time in years. I’ll be there tomorrow though. Hopefully we can get to the end of the season without adding any more ‘worst ever’ records but I’m
not confident of that either.

Brentford won 3 away all season, 4 defeats and 1 draw in last 5 aways
You know what happens next, yet for some daft reason I have backed us at 49/20

Not sure if I am confident or just past the point of worrying about games this season.
I was going to not bother tomorrow and catch up on some work, but I had a spare ticket so I am going and taking the father in law along (a Blackpool fan), so we can have a few beers and he can get a PL game in for a change

Let's be honest - going at the moment is a real chore but the performance last week was good in patches so hoping we can build on that. Be nice to break 20 points before the end of the season and this is one of the 2 or 3 games left that are winnable.

Well seeing as we are 100% relegated these last games are practice matches so why aren’t we seeing what other players or formations can do ?

Think they'll be too strong and well organised for us, but we live in hope. Would probably be happy with a point and a battling performance.

I've accepted our fate for a while now, but it would be nice to see us put up a fight between now and the end of the season.
We have a few games coming up where if we manage to get a couple of wins it might start to reignite some hope, and I'll get behind us all the way. But we really need to start hitting the back of the net more to win games as I can't see our defence keeping clean sheets, including tomorrow.

As someone points out above, we just can't keep a clean sheet.
Point at best.

Toney will be too quick, too strong and too clever for our back line. That said, I think we can get something from the game but we'll need to score a couple ourselves as we won't keep a clean sheet.

2 nil up at half time and then we lose 3-2.

Benson on bench.
Welcome to another Saturday on the Turf.
Film ideas for tonight?? Groundhog Day.

I'd love Tony to play against us, unfortunately I think he'll be in his usual seat in the upper level

In premier league terms Brentford are average and actually, this season somewhat below. We've played a number of teams who fall into that bracket (e.g. Palace, Bournemouth) and they've still proved much too strong for us, so I'm assuming it will be exactly the same tomorrow unfortunately.

The players owe us something tomorrow, that away performance at Brentford was up there with the very worst.

I think he’s worse on the wing if I’m honest. Does almost nothing defensively. I give him slack because he’s young but he shouldn’t be anywhere near starting for us at the minute in any position.
Anyway the confidence, being bothered has long gone from me. I’ll be there but it’s purely out of habit than Hope or even pleasure.

Agreed. Just about the maddest selection in a season of utter madness. If he can't see that we need 3 proper centre midfielders playing to be in games towards the end games there is no hope.

Brentford goalkeeper (and Palaces) are the worst two in the EPL for conceding more than their expected goals (yes, James is 3rd bottom of that, via Opta). So that gives us hope. That and their injured defence.
Can’t make Wolves so going tomorrow and am cautiously optimistic.
