Magnificent today once again. How ridiculous is the suggestion of a national team call up?

He senses space really, really well - a trait that is shared amongst the top players.

If he just adds to his end product he will literally be the buy of the century. I really like him and he wears his heart on his sleeve every match.

Vamos Vitinho!!

Won the penalty, gave the ball away but chased back and won it back again magnificently for our second.

You can’t ever question his commitment.

Better player than lots give him credit for, just needs to cut out the errors of judgement. Will be awesome next season.

Not a right back, if he improves his final ball he will be a good player.

Works his b..ollocks off for this team and showed a bit on the ball today too. Excellent performance.

That chasing back to rectify his mistake was unbelievable.

Even better when it produced a goal at the other end.

He was great for the first 80 minutes then flagged and was shot, part fault for the goal and also lost the ball on another horror break, but before that excellent. Amongst the best movement and space finding I've ever seen, hard worker, imagine if he had the crossing or shooting of Zaroury, Benson, Odobert or Gudmundsson.

Better on the right because his consistent mistakes are less dangerous. Although looking at the goal it looks like he let their player get across him
He jsnt good enough but can be used on the right of midfield without costing the whole team the chance of getting results

He adds balance to the team if we are playing two central midfielders and an attacking number 10.

This is a good observation - I agree. Seems to link up well with Assignon down the right as well.

Brilliant effort to save a goal against us and help creat our second goal. Definitely improving

An effort player. That’s all.

Gave the ball away too much today - especially in the second half. And he has a tendency to give the ball away when we’re exposed.

It was an excellent challenge leading up to the 2nd goal - but it was from his f**k up.

I enjoyed that we won today but we made heavy weather of it. And, if we’re being realistic, a right sided trio of Assignon, Vitinho and O’Shea will get found to be wanting at this level. We were lucky today that they went down to 10 men early on.

give me a decent player who gives 100% over a super talented lad who doesn't put it in. Absolute steal at 1 million

Thought he was very good today. He lacks end product, we know that, and he’s a rash defender, which is why he’s actually better suited in a more advanced position at this level. He’d probably be fine as a first choice RB in the champ next season.

But for me, in a season where we’re lacked character and commitment, he’s a no-brainer to be in the lineup. He gives absolutely everything and never stops running. Should really be a fans favourite, and it was nice to hear his song ring out today which hasn’t had much of an airing this season.

Against Bournemouth we sat in the posh seats in the BLS for the first time in my life, front row as well right behind the Burnley subs seating. When he came off Vitinho was absolutely spent, and was spent for the next 20 minutes too

As Stan would say, he looks like plays with a chuckle in his boots.

He's consistently inconsistent. Very hard worker absolutely, but also makes the work hard for himself unnecessarily as well.

Decent game for him overall today

Useful squad player, no Ronaldinho

I've often said he's great in the opposition half, but not a great defender and never a full back, but credit where it's due, he single handedly created our second (winning) goal by messing up, chasing back, not giving the easy foul and actually winning the ball. Fair play to the lad!

Runs and runs does the lad - if we had the squad that we really wanted, he likely wouldn’t be starting, but his value is in his versatility and work rate.

Yes, he can be poor with his passing, even the simple balls, often doing all of the hard work only to fluff his lines at a key moment, but I can’t help but like him.

Give me a team of Vitinhos over a team full of Amdounis every day of the week.

Teamed up really well with Assignon today ,need to get that lad on a season long loan for next season,a bit dodgy at the back but a definite upgrade on Roberts.

I'm a big fan but he's an enigma of a player. I said last season he had terrific movement and might be better a tier above. He finds space that his teammates don't always even notice to pass to. He can just pop up somewhere or find a way through/behind incredibly well. He's not as good a dribbler as he thinks but isn't bad. His decision making defensively is gung ho but offensively is very smart.

But then his crosses rarely find his man, his passes are hit and miss, he gets caught out sometimes on the ball and his finishing is poor (although weirdly he's a threat from headers despite his height due to his movement).

He's a top player at the hardest parts - finding space, making the right decision when attacking, movement off the ball. He's not so good at the stuff you'd expect him to be better at given those attributes. It's why I'm still hoping he improves, but he must be such a weird player to coach and train, he's needing the technical basics coaching more than the advanced movement or runs.

Thought he had his best game for a long time today

Although I thought it was comical how he was judged to have “fouled” Collins in the first half, who’s head & shoulders taller than him

Not sure about the “ no end product” assessment as he won the penalty and instigated the move for the second goal, I would be interested to see his pass completion rate as he seemed to have quite a lot of the ball but kept and passed it quite well on the whole.

For me he was great today. Some of the runs with the ball glued to his feet were mesmerising, and the chase back for two thirds of the length of the pitch after giving a couple of yards head start was imperious.

A player I can help but like, and I do.

I find him a really awkward player to watch.

Definitely tries to make up for his lack of technical ability and decision making with work rate and commitment.

A few of his haters really are starting to clutch at straws when criticizing him now.
His move to midfield and performances since have been fantastic. He prevented what would have been a certain goal and his phenomenal work rate, pace and tackle raised everyone in the stadium, team and crowd to go on to score our second.

Thank God it was him chasing down Lewis-Potter and no one else. Because anyone else in the team wouldn't catch him or would have just given up.

Not too sure either would get you very far. 'Fluffing his lines' is what makes him unreliable. He may come more into his own at a lower level next season but regular Premier league football could undo his career in this country. No problem with his commitment but we need more than that to progress.

The defending for Lewis-Potter’s chance just before their goal and then on the cross for their actual goal was dreadful from him. In fact, had that been Amdouni people would be going bonkers about it.

No doubt he’s full of effort and commitment but that only gets you so far. He’s not my cup of tea but I support him every time he puts the shirt on however he still has far too many costly mistakes in him.
