Very sad news - a brilliant songwriter and musician. “they’ll think it tragic when that moment first arrives, oh, oh but it’s magic it’s the best years of our lives” RIP yiu Cockney Rebel

Saw him a couple of times, he had great onstage presence. Very sad, only 73 years old.

Very sad news, remember buying Judy Teen from Javelin in Bury when I was 14. Three of my favourites gone this week Steve Harley, Karl Wallinger and Eric Carmen.

Had a hit with The Phantom of the Opera, a duet with Sarah Brightman. I recall he was due to play the part that Michael Crawford eventually played in the West End and on Broadway. Not sure why he didn’t. Think the producers had a change of heart or something. Strange one.

Getting old can be so sad-you see long term close friends pass away then your heroes and icons from your youth passing away too. RIP Steve Harley
