Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Muric had a great game v Bournemouth...made some very important saves.
Trafford getting his first England senior call up ( albeit no. 3. Keeper) is a nice problem to have.
Muric has bided his time and made the most of his first start this season, so yes, for me Muric.

I think you mean Brentford, but, yes, I agree with what you're saying. It Is What It Is wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 10:01 amMuric had a great game v Bournemouth...made some very important saves.

Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Whatever your opinion on Trafford/Muric, you surely can’t drop the keeper after that performance last time out
Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Well there was a thread on here after the Brentford game from someone who fancied themselves as "in the know" suggesting that Trafford would resume goalkeeping duties today, and that Muric only played against Brentford due to Trafford having a knock.
I think we all thought that the poster was being mischievous, but I guess we'll see in a few hours.

Love a good Muric thread. Should be discussed more often.

Should have been he's shirt to lose in the first place, but I sure hope that's the case now.

Trafford is no 1. Whether you agree with that or not is open to discussion, but NO WAY have we shelled out all that money for a number 2.

Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
I think Trafford is no:1 in the Managers eyes. Slightly o/t I’ve just read that VK has spent £92 million on 14 players signing another five on loan. I’m astonished to read that. I knew he’d spent money but no idea it was that amount. How much was Dyche given?
Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Don’t understand how you can just play because your fee is large and regardless of form. Imagine persisting with a team of Tony Hancocks, Leon Corts and Wout Weghorsts just because of the fees we paid. Muric could well have a howler today but he’s earned the right to start Not starting him after his last performance would be bordering on insanity.

Despite the tribulations of this season, I've always been in the "Kompany in" camp. If Muric is dropped today, I'll definitely switch because as others have said, it would be utterly criminal.
Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
It depends on performances. So at present yes he is

Don’t think we need to speak of nr 1 and nr 2, but Muric definitely earns the shirt at the moment

VK wouldn't survive the fans lashing out if he brought Trafford back in without Muric messing up.

Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Trafford has undoubtedly looked shaky this season and I personally would have preferred Muric to have played much more than he has.
However, Trafford has risen through all the age groups at Man City and England. You don't fluke that sort of stuff. He must have it, or something very close to it, if so many scouts, coaches, managers and people much more knowledgeable and experienced than the humble supporter all think the same thing.
But yes, Muric should've played much more. And I hope he does today.

Brighton have been alternating both their keepers on a more or less match to match basis all season and works for them.
Keeps the keepers more than interested.
This is probably the ideal solution for VK... Just alternating keepers each game .

Love to know when that "actually" happened and just "what" exactly he did to lose it.

I have it on good authority he verbally abused a young waitress in the Italian in Burnley when the team was out celebrating the promotion which got back to the manageralwaysaclaret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 3:31 pmLove to know when that "actually" happened and just "what" exactly he did to lose it.

Muric has always been no 1 for me.
We are a completely different team with him in the nets.
Kompany has thrown this season away.

Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Nothing in this world will convince me that wouldn't have had more points had we played Muric all season, or at least made the swap when it became obvious that Trafford just isn't up to it (around October/ November time).
An absolute shocker of a decision that's cost us more than anything else.

Traffords 75% of being picked of fit stipulated in his contract is over
Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
The thing that's stood out most for me is how everybody said Trafford shot stopping was miles ahead, personally I never saw it and since Murics come back in his has been outstanding

It's annoying because for me it's been obvious af all season. The difference in ability is so obvious. The entire team looks completely different.
Mental if you can't see it in all honesty.

It is infuriating thinking about where we could have been if he’d started this season. Hoping he’s fit for Tuesday.
Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Couldn't agree more and when Muric only cost 3/4 million the profit is right there, the profit if any we make on Trafford is years away.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 5:13 pmIt's annoying because for me it's been obvious af all season. If Muric kept this form up all season he'd go for 30 or 40 million to a top club
Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Got told this well before season started,so even though he got voted players player of the season he gets dropped! Think about it
Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Top notch performance. Has to stay in the side.

Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Today's stats
Accurate passes 68%
Accurate long passes 61%
So does that put 2 myth's on the bed? He won't be able to pass like that in the Premier League ( his stats so far match up to his championship ones )
And.........
He was only able to do it today ( Brentford) because they were down to 10 men
* Cough cough

Couldn’t agree more, I’ll repeat what I’ve said since the start of this season...Muric should have started the season, giving Trafford time to learn about the PL. It’s just so f.ckin obvious to me, I can’t believe we played Trafford from the beginning. Sheer madness to do so.

She probably gobbed off because Arijanet didn't tip quite as much as he did to that German waitress while celebrating promotion earlier ...
So if you are going to post possibly stuff like that back it up with more than "I have it on good authority"
Re: Is Muric now our No. 1.?
Can only say what I know what come from within the club, believe what you you like but if you have the player of the season in your club, you don't discard them
