Gets of with controversy at St James’. Penalty awarded after VAR. Gordon clearly offside but Mavrapanos making an attempt to clear nullifies the offside.
I have to feel for the defender. All their careers they are training to get the ball away from the danger zone. It needs reviewing.
1-0 Mags

Paqueta epitomises what is wrong with top level football today!! 3 times trainer been on and hardly been touched. Absolute embarrassment screaming every time he goes to ground. Guimares now does the same. You only need to go and watch a juniors football match to see that they copy this, banging their hands on the floor etc. Just winds me up!! Yours Mr Angry

Two decisions that sum Jones up perfectly.
Firstly the foul on Kudos which he ignored and now allowing the free kick to be taken for the West Ham goal.

Perfectly good goal that. When players cry wolf with head injuries this is what should be expected. As alluded to above there is far too much play-acting.

If the Newcastle player hadn’t feigned injury then he might have had a chance of helping defend the quick free kick. Just a thought

I call that justice. Schar goes down like he’s been given a left hook holding his face when he’s hardly touched and they score from the quick free kick.

Commentator trying his best to stir up the non-event theatrical malarkey. Sick and tired of the drama nonsense.

Agree, it’s great to actually see this sort of ridiculous behaviour being punished.

Yeah, nowt wrong with the goal. Toon arseing around and not concentrating to blame for that.

I think today is the day in which Luton run out of steam; probably a hangover from giving away a 3-0 lead against Bournemouth, still have a ton of players out and are playing Spurs away who will be keen to put a 4-0 loss right in front of their home fans.

What a player Kudus is. He’s played brilliant in this game, probably gonna move on to bigger and better things.

Why do players charge in to rip the ball from the keeper after a goal?
The keepers team will kick off when they are ready.

Good bloke as well. Very decent manager- but apparently not good enough for many Hammers.

2 penalties. Exactly the same.
Both wrong in my opinion and nothing to do with football.
On both occasions, the defender went to clear the ball. In both occasions the Newcastle player put his leg in front of the ball and got kicked. Penalty awarded.
A tackle is when you place your leg behind the ball. Placing it in front is both dangerous to the attacker and the innocent defender.
On both occasions, the ball was not what the attacker was seeking. It was literally to get kicked.
Rubbish.
I hope legs get broken! Serves the cheats right.

How is that a penalty...so, all you have to do is put your leg in front of someone playing the ball. There was no point at which 'Scuba' Gordon had the ball under any sort of control.

We lost two points at Wolves several years back for similar. Ward, trying to clear, kicked Jiminez.
It has always been that way. If you kick the ankle and not the ball it’s a pen.

Similar to the foul on George Boyd from which Andre Gray scored the winning penalty at home against that lot.

Tella news for anyone interested: he came on as a late sub for Leverkusen in their game against Hoffenheim and inspired yet another comeback win, assisting a 91st minute winner. I imagine he would have played more but for the form of Frimpong, but he’s certainly made some crucial contributions in the time he’s been on the pitch.

Bayern lose to Ian Maatsen’s Dortmund meaning Leverkusen go 13 points clear. Bundesliga title a formality.

United are playing like a Championship side away to Brentford in the cup.
