Honestly I do question Kompany at times, Vitinho has played well recently on the right-hand side so Kompany moves him to left back where in general he's been shite and puts Taylor on the bench !
I should add that's the formation given on the official BFC match centre

Vitinho left back? Bruun Larsen and Odobert on wings?
Why is Taylor not in?

Another strange lineup. Don't think we can carry Amdouni, Larsen and Odobert at this level, particularly away from home.

Vitinho left back !! 2 in midfield and Amdouni. What does he have on Kompany ??

At a time when top defending is needed, the manager doesn't play the top defender and instead plats a chap most likely to give away a pen and out of position, at that.
A world of his own.

Has Taylor got a knock? Otherwise that looks a strange choice against a side like Chelsea where you want your better experienced defensive players.

If Taylor isn't carrying a knock and has been dropped just to crowbar Amdouni in then its a disgrace

Absolutely bizarre couple of decisions in that team. Vitinho LB, with Odobert ahead of him and Amdouni, basically guarantees a couple goals conceded from the left.
I get that Fofana can't play but why wouldn't you keep Taylor at LB with Vitinho playing well on the right, put Larsen alongside Foster.
Think that defence and Muric are on a complete hiding to nothing.

I presume he is worried about the pace of Gusto down their right hand side but it is strange one.
Does Fofana play with Foster on Tuesday or replace him?

Muric
Assignon O’Shea Esteve
Vitinho Berge Cullen BL
Odebert
Amdouni Foster
That’s my best effort given the starting X1

I hope Amdouni shows somthing today because he needs too.
I try not to be too negative pre kick off but I think Taylor is still our best left back, Vitinho has been decent in midfield and I'd rather have seen Brownhill added in the middle rather than Amdouni play. Team selections are getting a bit odd, feels like we get closer to an 11 and then it shifts again.

Foster and Fofana on Tuesday sounds good.

Looks almost like the starting line-up for next season. Probably most of those experienced players on the bench will be gone.

To counter specific threats from the opposition, players recovering
injury, players ot fully recovered from an illness, poor attitude, lack of interest,
discipline. Just a few that come to mind.
Oh, and he knows a hell of a lot more about top flight football than any of us.
We may not always agree, but he's the boss.

Given that Cullen is a ROI international (although born in England) am I correct in stating that this is the very first all foreign Burnley XI?
There must be some statto anoraks out there to tell me if I'm wrong!

Yes, but that wasn't really the point I was making. if Assignon leaves I can see Vitinho at RB and a new LB.

Hanging Vitinho out to dry again after he’s been performing well on the right side of midfield.

I get the impression that it wouldn't really matter what 11 he put out, it will be criticised.

Lots of people will have gone to London for a leisurely, laid-back stroll in the Easter sunshine.
Unfortunately I fear Amdouni will be one of them.

Maybe VK hast told Charlie he isn’t being offered a contract extension next season or CT has said he isn’t re- signing.
VK said he was reviewing the contract situation for relevant players during this international break.

Perhaps the soon to be out of contract players are going to see less game time between now and the end of the season (Taylor is one of those).
I don't agree with dropping him, but it could be another possible reason why.

Not really just a case of playing your best players in their correct positions would do nicely

can only put the Taylor decision down to is lack of pace but he's a better defender than Vitinho in my book , just hope it comes off..

Taylor is tripe, goal after goal down his side all season long, should have been behind Pieters in Dyches last season too, completely finished at this level.

If people actually watched how many goals Taylor is responsible for they’d have a different opinion, he can do no wrong though because he’s been here for a while and was once a very good player for us.
