Big shout out to the 2200 Fans packed away in the top left hand corner of the stadium yesterday.

Never stopped singing and getting behind the team even when we were losing and down to 10 men.

Put the Chelsea supporters to shame who were very embarrassing TBH.

Great game and a brilliant day out with my son.

Agreed they were excellent throughout. It was one of the most enjoyable days this season-nice weather, trains were fine for me, but the spirit from the players made you feel good again about the team. I did not think we would get any points at half time but to score twice, and nearly get 3 points was the icing on the cake

Looked empty on tv lower block. Great trip for those who made it down though.

Spoke to the Burnley police officers outside the ground, they said it was nowhere near sold out. They reckoned between 1,100 and 1,200 sold.
Having said that, it was a great atmosphere!

Saying sold out is just daft, it clearly discourages people buying tickets late and reduces away attendances as a result

Our away support has been excellent this season with brilliant vocal support at Luton and Fulham particularly.

was that down to allocation ? The club tweeted out that it was sold out
Did the same at City, announced a sell out and it was nowhere near. No way there was over 2 thousand there yesterday.

considering the size of the town our away support has been excellent for many many years, it's something we should all be very proud of.

Numbers wise it feels like we've taken fewer away than we have for a while this season. Brighton and West Ham in particular seemed really small followings.

I would have bought a ticket if they had them on sale. I looked 2 weeks ago and they said sold out. To find out now that there was spare seats is disappointing.

I have now removed all my posts from this thread and all those associated with them. My intention was no more than to post something factual which I believe was taken the wrong way by one poster which led to others joining in, culminating on one post which was totally unacceptable.

It was no more than an innocent post aimed at no one. I'll keep clear of the board for a while now, I think that's the best idea.

Don't know why people were getting their knickers in a twist over somebody(correctly) stating the away end was nowhere near full.

You shouldn't have to Tony. As you say, your post was just stating facts and not having a dig.

Not that great at Brentford ( understandable) and Liverpool though.

Yes, the performance at Brentford was the lowest of a poor season, for me.

Chatted to an American who'd been at the game in the pub afterwards, he said he wished he'd been in the away end because "you guys were effing loud!"

Great support from just over 1,000 clarets. Tony is pretty accurate with his estimation of our following so to get grief for stating a fact is a unnecessary in my view.
There were a few ‘tourists’ again though in the upper deck. Can’t say I blame them if they got the tickets at a reasonable price. I walked back to Earls Court tube station after the match and was talking to two Austrian Chelsea fans. They paid €240 each for their tickets in the main stand on a ticket site.

Not sure about tourists, I was stood next to a group who I believe were Odobert’s mates and another who I think were O’Shea’s. Then just along was a dead spit of Muric who I’m guessing was his brother.

That was yesterday, it's been dealt with it and removed from the board so it's done and dusted, it didn't need to be brought back up today "in my view"

Was loads of tourists as well as comp tickets for players friends and family where we were.

Crikey. Give it a rest please. I wasn’t allowed to post yesterday, only just returned from a ban. Just stating what I could see around me at the match. Won’t mention it again.

Might not have been a good following numbers wise but fair play all those who went down and made themselves heard.
Improving performances and some closer away games should see some bigger followings between now and the end of the season.

I wasn’t having a dig honestly. I didn’t realise the full background or origin when I posted it. If I had been able to post the day before, it wouldn’t have caused offence. Sorry.
