Last Tuesday after the Wolves match I had the pleasure of meeting Poulton le Claret for the first time and we swapped notes on the Clarets on the train journey home. He was hoping for questions featuring more recent events and players. I told him I may find some 1990's stuff if Im pushed.

I was born in Dumfries and I played for 2 clubs in my native Scotland early in my career before a transfer to a Spanish club put me in the spotlight. My name is Kevin although I was known by a different first name for all of my footballing career. In fact I was also known by a nickname bestowed upon me whilst later playing in England. After a year in Spain I was the transfer target of a prominent English club in the midlands and my wing play helped them to 5th place in Division One in the late 1980's. I became unsettled in the early 1990's and joined another midland club although once again I struggled to make an impact at first team level. Having come to the notice of Burnley fans in a memorable Cup tie at Turf Moor I was later to join the Clarets when I was signed by Jimmy Mullen becoming a popular figure with supporters despite only playing just over a half century of games.
