Thought I'd start a dull man's club for dullards on here.

I love the Fb group for this. Makes my full timeline ironically less dull

I planted six tomato seedlings yesterday. They are of six different varieties but three of them are a red tomato and the other three are yellow. To make the display of tomatoie abundance I hope they will eventually achieve more aesthetically pleasing I have arranged them symmetrically with the yellows at the two rear corners and the front middle and the red ones, well, where the yellow ones aren’t obviously. At the risk of blowing my own tomato trumpet (I don’t have a trumpet but did have a recorder in primary school so imagine me blowing that if you must) my tomatoes were excellent last year. My dull life will feel lifted slightly above mediocrity if I can match my previous success.

My wife just found this underneath her car (Peugeot Partner)

Heavy, metal, finished at one end, oily smell.

What is it?

Change the handles they are very "dull"

Here's a top tip for you gents: store tins of beans upside down so that you don't have to scrape beans from the bottom of the tin when you open them.*

* You need to open the tin at the top.

Buy some of those plastic things which hold socks together in the washing machine. You can get a variety of colours and prevents the need to pair up socks when they are washed.

Move your drivers seat fully forward ... this would mean you can get even closer to the car in front.

When you change the screw, will you put it on straight?

Rowls I have had the same problem with beans as you appear to have.

First is this with large or small cans?

I have little experience of small cans but it's certainly a problem with large ones. If you decide to only eat half a large can and save half then as you have obviously found out sauce viscosity becomes a major problem as it radically changes as you go down the tin.

You end up with over sauced beans with your first meal and under sauced beans with your second because of the higher sauce viscosity at the bottom of the tin.

I have tried your solution, marking up the tins to note the period of inversion from 1 to 6 weeks yet still have had a viscosity problem.

To help with my research I would ask do you shake prior to inversion and if so for how long and do you have any tips. My experience is only with Heinz beans but a solution would help obtain two satisfactory meals out of a tin instead of two slightly compromised ones.

No reason to change either screw. They both appear to be properly attached.

Following on from dougcollins and Bosscat, once you have got new handles, before you put them on straight, will you fill the old screw holes in to the left of the handle?

Problem is MASSIVE with Heinz beans… the sauce is now so thin, it is almost gravity defying. The beans hate the sauce so much they sink to the bottom of the can. Bin the Heinz, get on the Branston. Lovely thick tomatoey sauce like Heinz USED to be.

Model makers/wargamers should store their paints upside down so the pigment is at the top. This can then be thinned down with the appropriate thinning agent before application…. This making those little bottles last twice as long without compromising the paint quality.

Have they stopped doing fluorescent colours?

I searched the entire Humbrol rack in Skipton Boyes yesterday and there was no fluorescent orange.

Bizarrely my chairs didn't, they did though move to the side of my raised decking. I still puzzle over it, must be the surface are of the table top whereas the chairs are a lattice effect. I think the wind blew through the gaps but only enough to move them.

Maybe we should experiment with laying our tins on their side?

Or invent a tin holder that will rotate the tin slowly inside the cupboard to prevent any substatial settling? The contraption could have various settings for different brands, eg. Heinz, Branston, etc.

When I worked at Track Records in York during the 90's, a guy came up to the counter one day near to Christmas, with a list in his hand. He was obviously after a present for someone, and he proceeded to ask (in a cockernee kind of accent)... 'Excuse me, have you a CD by (and this is what he said)... Van Morrissey (except he said Vaaaaaaayyyyyn Morrusseeeeee...). I explained to him that there's a Van Morrison and a Morrissey (of The Smiths) and asked him which one he meant... he replied 'Naaah darn't worry mate, I'll go an ask at HMV... and off he went!!!

This started us all thinking of the next possible request from a confused customer...

The slugs in my garden tend to prefer eating my lettuce, I think my neighbour has the same issue however I'm not sure. I would go round and ask him but he might start talking to me about racing cars.
