Think dropping Fofana was the right choice

Been off it last 3 games

Sort of game Odobert could do well in. However he’s a bit isolated. Would have preferred Odobert left with amdouni back in no10 as we know he can be good against weaker opposition like he was in the reverse fixture.

Nothing to lose for both teams. Could be entertaining. Vitty back out on the right. Madness when you think about how many wingers we have, but good luck to him tmfor earning that spot over all of them.

Been said a million times but for our right winger VK had a direct choice between the right back from when we got thrashed at Bramall Lane last season and the right winger who got a goal and an assist at Bramall Lane last season and went with the right back. Just depressing at this point.

You mean the tiny winger who won’t work for the team defensively? His own fault really

.I Like the boy at least he takes the game to the opposition ,but sadly it all to often comes to nothing. Let's hope today's the day. C. O. Y. C

Reasonable team selection given recent form I think.

Benson is a good option from the bench (should've been used last week) but he's not robust enough to start.

Or on the flip side a winger that can break down the opposition over a right back that cant

You loved Benson last year but as soon as he's out of favour you rubbish him. Just admit you've nailed your colours too tightly to VK's mast to have a critical opinion of him, literally never seen you question anything.
I can think of 1 game all season that Odobert's offered anything defensively and yet he still gets selected. We need players who are going to score or create goals, because it's not mattering what we do, we're conceding them. Benson's barely even had any matchtime to decide he "won't work for the team defensively" this season. Just doesn't wash as an excuse.

I'm pretty happy with the selection today myself because I favour Benson as a sub around 50-60 mins but that's not happened either. Although for today still wish it wasn't Odobert central, would favour him out left and Larsen central because even if he offers no defensive work, he looks much more dangerous on the left generally speaking.

With them playing Osborn, a midfielder, at LB I’m more upset that Manny Benson isn’t flying at him but Vitinho has been good on the right recently so let’s hope for the best.

I still like Benson and wish we’d have seen more off the bench, I just see why VK hasn’t started him more, we can’t afford to carry multiple passengers who only want to attack. This isn’t the Championship sadly, Anass is one of my favourite all time Clarets but I see why he hasn’t played much.

Doesn't add up when again Odobert offers next to nothing defensively and Amdouni got a long long run while being very ineffectual at anything beyond dribbling in the opposition third. I see Amdounis talent despite his huge limitations but he had a long run of anonymous games where we improved without him or worsened with him, can't see why Benson hasn't got more time when we simply haven't seen enough of him this year to judge.

And again if you're going off his defensive frailty last year,he also won us more points than any other player last year, so you can't judge on one not the other. He's a potential match winner who has been underutilized, Zaroury i think it's a more complex one but at this level I could see him central and again it was the persistence with underperforming players ahead of even trying some players a bit more, which is worth questioning beyond "he must know he sees them in training".

We're looking pretty steady and tidy with flashes of invention when we get across the halfway line but vulnerable as hell in our own half

I find it hard to understand what we are trying to achieve when we play great football and get into great shooting and crossing positions and choose to do nothing other than go backwards and start again?

We look miles better but they look dangerous on the break.

Who do we see getting our goal(s)? That's where I am struggling.

We need to stop trying to force passes from the back when we're in their half and they have 11 men behind the ball - just letting them openly counter on us.

Otherwise we're playing well.

Sander Berge is so far the best player on the pitch by a mile. Will be flabbergasted (but pleased) if he's still a Burnley player next season.

Shouldn't have dropped Ekdal after Ekdal & Esteve looked like our best partnership of the season against Brighton. Made their forwards look toothless.
