I rate him. Doubt it'd happen but wouldn't be dissatisfied if he signed, perhaps as a replacement for Rodriguez.

Decent player at that level. But a complete ****head. I would hope we have some sort of ‘no ****heads’ policy.

He’s a complete tit, but one of those players you’d probably love if they played for your club.
That being said, I think we can do far better.

Being a tit on the pitch is one thing. Being a tit off the pitch (as McBurnie has been) is completely unacceptable really.

Re: Mcburnie
He's absolutely w@nk, at this level and the one below. Not sure he possesses any of the footballing attributes Barnes had and he's really not the sort to drag you through when the chops are down.

Re: Mcburnie
I understand the reasoning behind the post but he's someway off what Barnes is in terms of footballing ability (Barnes criminally underrated as a footballer).
McBurnie is nowhere near the level we need now and is also a colossal bellend.
No thanks.

Other than him being unfit, slow, dog sh-ite and a bell end on and off the pitch I’d take him in a heartbeat !

Re: Mcburnie
He has 6 goals in 21 apparently this season and 3 assists. Foster has 6 in 20 with 3 assists. (Presuming Google is correct). He'd be a very useful asset at either level, particularly the Championship.

Jesus. It just offers us something different. We need different profiles of player for different moments in a season and with Jay Rod probably on the way out there is room for a Mcburnie type in the squad.

Re: Mcburnie
I mean - you've quite literally given Vitinho numerous 3s in the player ratings for perfectly fine performances, then think McBurnie could be a shout for us.
What do you expect?!

Is giving a player a 3 an extreme reaction? I thought that was just my view of a players performance on the day, not sure of the relevance.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 9:14 pmI mean - you've quite literally given Vitinho numerous 3s in the player ratings for perfectly fine performances, then think McBurnie could be a shout for us.

I think Mcburnie's an absolute handful who both our centre halves struggled with in the first half today and it's the kind of presence we miss and would be very useful in the Championship.
Also aware he's a bit of a tosser but at 28 I presume he will probably be calling down slightly. He's also the type of player that Burnley fans tend to get behind like Barton, Barnes etc

Re: Mcburnie
I think both of our centre halves (even if they didn't have their best games) handled McBurnie with relative ease. He barely had a touch and barely won anything in the air.Goliath wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 9:18 pmIs giving a player a 3 an extreme reaction? Pure Championship player that lacks the sort of skills that we require from a 9.

There is gash and then there is Mcburnie levels of gash. The bloke is thug who can play a bit of football, currently he is playing two divisions higher than his level.

Solanke and even Ayew have looked miles better against us this year.

He’s an awkward type of player for sure but I think we’d be looking for someone a little better than him.

I would like to hope we look at integrating Micheal Mellon into the first team pool next season .He's over 20 now and VK likes young players so why not.?

If he played for Burnley and scored, I wouldn't celebrate.

Is this the same McBurnie who signed a 3 year deal with Las Palmas last summer

Re: Mcburnie
I wouldn't be adverse to signing him as a good option on a short term deal to hopefully seal promotion but like so many others in our side he is then not going to be good enough to cut it in the PL.
So I'd much rather we kept on casting our hat into the ring for players that could be the next Mikautadze or Gyokeres and who can potentially grow with us.
