Good report. Regarding the Assignon elbow, could he still be charged by the FA and suspended?

Absolutely brilliant. Hope your injuries improve this week, Tony.

It’s Sheffield Utd with a game in hand, not Forest.

Re: REPORT: Burnley win big at Bramall Lane
Theoretically he could which would then bring him that four game ban but I think it’s unlikely in a game that’s had VAR in operation.JohnDearyMe wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 5:54 amGood report. Regarding the Assignon elbow, could he still be charged by the FA and suspended?

Will the cone be suspended for three games or just the one?

Of all the performances at Bramall Lane over the years the '73/'74 opening day ranksed as the very best.
Wonderful goals from Doug Collins and Martin Dobson were just an appetiser on what was to become a very special season,

Has that fat scruffy lump dropped the Diaz bit from his name that magically appeared a couple of years back?
Re: REPORT: Burnley win big at Bramall Lane
Great performance but Doug's goal certainly wasn't wonderful. Free kick which took a massive deflection and completely wrong footed the keeper.Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 11:35 amOf all the performances at Bramall Lane over the years the '73/'74 opening day ranksed as the very best.

Re: REPORT: Burnley win big at Bramall Lane
It was wonderful in that it was our first goal back in the first division but it hit someone in their defensive wall which left the goalkeeper helpless. Dobbo’s was a fine goal.
Fourth time I’ve seen us win there but I think the 2008/09 one stands out given we also had a scratch team out and then had to change it when Duff pulled up in the warm up. Didn’t we have Wade at right back and Grezza at left back that day?

Chris Eagles’ best performance for us that day if I recall.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 1:34 pmIt was wonderful in that it was our first goal back in the first division but it hit someone in their defensive wall which left the goalkeeper helpless. Dobbo’s was a fine goal.

Re: REPORT: Burnley win big at Bramall Lane
Undoubted his best performance for us. And it was Duff who pulled up in the warm up so Jordan moved to centre half to cover him, Alexander switched to left back with Elliott going in at right back. Thompson came in off the bench. We already had Carlisle and McCann out injured. The hardly recognisable Remco came into the bench.

That team was fantastic. For all the great years we've had since, I've never had an affinity to a team like that one.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 2:24 pmUndoubted his best performance for us. Didn't realise Remco ever got back on the bench again after what I presume was a fall out early in the season. We had Adam Kay ahead of him in the pecking order I think at one point which was a bit daft

Re: REPORT: Burnley win big at Bramall Lane
Strangely, we listed him as a substitute in the 3-1 win at Coventry but he wasn’t even there. It was Jordan on the bench.Goliath wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 2:32 pmThat team was fantastic. For all the great years we've had since, I've never had an affinity to a team like that one.

I don’t know what happened with him but I do know that Coyle wouldn’t even respond if his name was mentioned.
Re: REPORT: Burnley win big at Bramall Lane
It's incredible that they managed to keep it in house. Especially with the lack of professionalism within the squad and management.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 2:37 pmStrangely, we listed him as a substitute in the 3-1 win at Coventry but he wasn’t even there. It was Jordan on the bench.

It must have been something pretty serious. I thought he looked OK on that dreaded opening day at Hillsborough.
