I see Jacob Brun Laarsen is currently our top scorer for the season on 6 goals. With 4 left to play, it is in entirely plausible that we end the season with a top scorer on 6 goals.
Given how low this is it prompted me to look back on previous seasons and I see that, excluding seasons not completed in the war years, only twice have we had a top scorer on 6 goals or less, one of these being a 22 game season way back in 1889-90, and the most recent being 1970-71 when Frank Casper and Erik Probert tied for top scorer on 5 goals. Looking highly likely this will be our lowest number of goals for top scorer in over 50 years.
(Not trying to make any particular point here - just thought it was an interesting observation - though perhaps this does highlight one of our flaws this season, with the lack of a consistent clinical goal scorer)

Re: Top Scorer
I think Probert with 5 in 70/71 is the lowest but that’s league goals. We currently have Foster & JBL on that total.

Re: Top Scorer
JBL averages about a goal every other game based on minutes played. He’s made a good contribution.

Yes JBL has done a good job. Hopefully that loan can be converted to perm easily.
I think our current style will mean we share the goals around as long as we’re playing it. It’d have been nice to share a few more around though!
