Frank Field

Post by Middle-agedClaret » Wed Apr 24, 2024 9:43 am

The former Labour MP for Birkenhead, more recently a cross bencher Peer, has died.
He always seemed to be a man of principle and conviction, who acted in the best interests of his constituents, and the wider, disadvantaged, public.
When so many of our current politicians, whatever party they represent, seem so lacking in dignity, sincerity, or even basic common sense, people like Frank Field show what true “public service” is.
RIP.

One of the few Politicians who I admire, a person who cared about others and tried his best to help them.
A right honourable man, few are deserving of the accolade.

He did seem a decent man who cared for people, fair play to him for that. He certainly cared a lot more than most of these toss pots we have now.

Rest in Peace Frank Field.

A very good politician who did an awful lot on behalf of oaps.

Looked on as soft right he was hounded by the left wingers who took over the Labour Party. They even took to pouring new members into his constituency in order to try and deselect him. A crazy attitude to a thoroughly decent man. Also another reason why I gave up my membership card.

RIP Frank

He had some good suggestions on how to deal with antisocial scroat-families who make life a living hell for those living around them.

R.I.P, Frank. You spoke your mind, and your only crime was to say what many of us were already thinking.
